The Bills had an amazing draft adresseing everyone of their needs and the Bills fans should be proud of management not going WR in the first round and drafting possibly the best covercorner in the draft

If I was the Bills GM i would have traded up to get a better pass catching tight end instead of the guy we got in the later rounds but overall we had an excellent draft. One thing would you have drafted a different WR or is James Hardy the best fit for the Bills? Personally i think that Hardy will become like a Plaxico Burres and provide a needed deep threat that has speed that the Bills desperately need

I like the Hardy pick. There may have been one or two "better" receivers based on skill set, but we have skilled receivers already. We needed a big guy that can get vertical in the red zone and I think Hardy fits the Bill, pun intended :)
Playoffs in 08!
Go Trent!

I think the draft was good. I guess we won't know how good til the players produce.  James Hardy will hopefully be the answer to our much needed redzone TD situation. Liking the fact that he is a tall receiver.  The Plax comparison is a good one.

I , agree that the Bills made the right move in the first round by drafting Mckelvin. At frist I was was of the fans wanting them to draft a WR with the 11th pick; however I also didn't think we would have a chance to get Mckelvin or DCR for that matter. I also didn't think that we would be able to get a top wideout in the 2nd either. The Bills had a grate 1st day but a questionable 2nd. I really wished they had pick up Dan Connor LB out of Penn st. in the 3rd; Who is said to be better than Pluz. and we all know that we had trouble filling holes at LB last year with all the injs. we could have used someone like that off the bench.I also wished that they would have drafted Kellen Davis out of MSU or even traded up to get Martin Rucker in the 4th to get out of Mizzo.the rest of the picks were alright and I guess we will have to waint and see just how well we really did ; but with the 1st day draft I really can not waint for the season to start GO BILLS!!!!

yea the Bills could have had a better second day abd i would've liked a better tight end drafted or possibly the Bills making a move to trade up into the second round to get one

the Bills did not have the pressing needs at every position like some teams and they could have packaged something together to bring in a decent pass catching tight end for Trent Edwards

James Hardy will dominate and in a couple years will be considered a top tier wideout

The Bills did okay but should've gotten a center.  Fowler is no great shakes.  Another DT would've been nice.  And we already have short CBs, so we go and pick up 3 more?  But if size doesn't matter, McKelvin should be great.  Fine will hopefully be good enough to bump Royal out of the starting TE spot.  Hardy will be an instant sensation, I believe.

Sorry to reitterate what most of you said...but I will.

I love the first day picks, I think Malcolm Kelly will not turn out to be great, so Hardy was the right pick.

I too would have liked Conner in the third round. I think out D-line (if injury free) is fine. I don't see the need for another one (who was hurt and has some baggage). And I think teaming Conner and Puz would have been good for the both of them.

I am not worried about TE. We have lived without them for a while. I say we got to more of a spread, we have the WR's. I just hope Trent can be the man. He has my trust for now.

And one more thing, you can never had too many DB's. Buffalo loves having 20 DB's on the roster. Only thing that bothers me is the make them good and they leave. Its like the Sabres and goalies. Somehow, half the NHL has starting goalies that have once been on our roster.

Nice posts all

the Bills offensive line for the first time in a long time was not the reason for our teams horrible offense, but a center should have been drafted. Still a good tight end is essential to any good football team:

The Patriots have Ben Graham; The Giants have Jeremy Shockey; the Colts have Dallas Clark; the Redskins have Chris Cooley; the Chargers have Antonio Gates

My point being that every good offense apart from the from the Vikings have a solid pass catching tight end and the Bills could've used one to relieve  the pressure off of James Hardy and Lee Evans
