Surely, not all of you learned the rules from listening to Tim McCarver. Anyone who has umpired high school ball can tell you that balks are a judgement call, like balls and strikes and are not protestable per rule 4.19. Under rule 9.02(a), players and coaches are subject to ejection for arguing judgement calls. Even if they could be protested (which they can't), the protest must be declared prior to the next pitch. Once that pitch is made, you cannot protest, unless it occurred after the last pitch of the game.
