Agreed cms, Everyone is pointing the figure at the Shaq trade but I for one don't think it was a bad move. He is the truest threat weve had at center and our rebounding and blocks went up because of this move. He can't finish like he used to but he does allow Stat to resume his natural position. Now if Stat can learn to play some D other then blocks and become a more consistant rebounder thats getting the most out of a player. Phil Jackson was doing it with Bynum in two years b4 he got hurt why hasnt Dantoni able to in 4 years with stat a much more dominant player than Bynum. Marion I'm so tired of hearing we blew it by letting him go. Good role player who gave alot to this team for years thank you but he never was or will be a gamebreaker. He was gone for nothing after the season anyway so what did we really lose do you people honestly think the Suns would have one it all with him? We tried that it didnt work. You wanna know who it was a mistake to let go? Joe Johnson now theres a player with gamebreaking ability. Lord I Rue the day we let him leave the team.

Mike D'Antoni needs to and deserves to be fired. He has had his chances and has blown them in each of the last 4 years. It is just like any other sport, if you are getting completely beaten by one team for a severe amount of time, you need to be gone. He has proven no matter what he tries that Gregg Poppovich is in his head. Its not his fault that he has a point guard that is overrated because he does not know how to get over the hump. The perfect fit for D' Antoni would be the Chicago Bulls. They have a great run n gun team and Ben Gordon and Kirk Hinrich would be great for him and the only team that D'Antoni's team would not beat would probably be the Detroit Pistons.

2-time mvp Steve Nash for TJ Ford? That does not even match-up in salary let alone common-sense.

"If Steve Kerr takes over as coach, then I'm prophetic."

I think you're pathetic even if Kerr doesn't take over.  Oops.  You said prophetic.  My bad.

D'Antoni was rightfully fired by the Phoenix Suns. You are what you're record shows you are, not what your friends in the media want to portray you as because you're a good interview and give them access.

D'Antoni and Johnson fired today ?

What I don't understand is why these teams fired their respective head coaches when all they did was win.

It's alternately called, "passing the buck", "taking the easy way out" and "avoiding losing face".  Guys like Cuban and Kerr never like to be held accountable for knee-jerk, franchise-wrecking moves - it's always easier to just blame the coach.
