Yes, lets give this heeping pile of dog vomitt some more work so he can make us look even worse. LOL Man hes lost it, how much longer will he be a brewer?
Just one of those nights, I guess. Soup didn't help us out early on, tough outing for him. I guess on a night like this, the only thing to do is look at the positives.
We scored 5 runs on 6 hits...in the last 2 weeks, that's good enough for a win in both of our losses against the Marlins, our loss to Philly, our loss to the Cards, and our loss against Cincy.
What a revolting development that turned out to be. Oh well, 19-5 only counts as one loss in the standings just like a 2-1 game would do. Today it's Gallardo versus Zambrano in an afternoon contest. Let's go BREW CREW.
Even in the worst case scenario, the Crew will have split with the Flubbies with all the games being played in the wreck known as Wrigley Field.
Just one of those games, as stated above. I can swallow this loss a lot easier than some of the close games we lost earlier. Soup is what Soup is. Couple of good games, then a clunker. Couple more good games, then a clunker. Turnbow pitched himself off the staff which makes this game a huge moral victory.
Remember last season, it took an embarassing game to get the offense jump-started. After the Brewers were no-hit by Verlander (thank god I was in Mexico and didn't witness it first hand), they went on an offensive tear and tore the cover off the ball for the next 2 weeks.
Just an all-around bad outing. As I mentioned in a similar thread on the main board, I'm only given the Cubs credit for a 13-5 whoopin'; not 19-5. Any runs that Turnbow gives up shouldn't count. If the Cubs would have scored any less off of him, I'd be laughing at them; but unfortunately, they're the only ones laughing today.
Thank goodness for a 1:05 start. I need this one out of my memore ASAP!
GO BREWERS!!!
Prediction: Both teams get on the board early but both Gallardo and Zambrano exit after 7 innings and the game tied at 2. This one gets decided by the bullpens and neither team's is very strong these days with the exception of Marmol for the Cubs and Stetter for the Brewers.
This one could go either way but i'm taking the Brewers 4-3.
Zambrano is due for a rough outing. Maybe not today, but lets hope so. I would love to sse the bats hot going in to Houston while the Cubs and Cards bang on each other over the weekend. This was not a season altering loss, maybe a season altering kick in the ars, but not devastating in any way. It was a clunker and I would bet not one guy on this team is even thinking about it today. It happens and it will happen again.
Remember last season, it took an embarassing game to get the offense jump-started. After the Brewers were no-hit by Verlander I had that stored away forever, atleast I thought I did till today.
