BMK53 said it best. There can't be racism ina winning organization. It may have been 15-20 years ago but John Riggins was 100% causasian and a damn good RB. Merril Hoge had a couple 100 yard games and scored a fair amount of TD's for theSteelers. Just because all of the STUD RB don't happen to be white doesn't mean they don't try. To me it's a stupid statement to ask. Why are there mainly white goaltenders in hockey? Why does the USA soccer team have foreignors on it? The list can go on and on and on, but what good would it do? Here's a more important list of probable questions...Why did Cuban want to trade for Jason Kidd so bad? If Shaq was the missing piece to the Suns Championship, then why did Tim Duncan look like Superman and Shaquille? Why is there no crying in baseball? Why did Neil O'donnell throw to Larry Brown not once but twice in the '95 Super Bowl? These are questions worth discussing. Why discuss a racist blantent comment unless your the Grand Poobah of the KKK? Makes no sense

Excuse me, but Robert Smith was a brotha, and. The NFL is not racist at the running back position. Owners look for natural runners and athletes with speed in the backfield. I don't see any non-African American collegiate or pro footballers running a sub 4.4 40yd dash. It is the Afro American blessing to be big, strong, powerful and fast.

A few things I find interesting here But I will stick with the obvious one. Some people have brougt up R.Smith, J.Vargas,etc....as being white, for which they have been blasted. My point is why are guys like T.Woods, J. Mcginlia(spell hockey player) etc.....all considered black and greats at their sports when they are from mixed parents, but players like Smith or Vargas are considered black even though they to are from mixed parents. I think as a society we try to hard to accomidate a certain race that by and large has little self esteem because of their perception of events that happened 100 some odd years ago. So why is Woods the greatest black player and not the greatest asian player? Or greatest mixed player? Why is he the greatest Black player? Seems to be a clear double standard here.

In the 80s Jimmy The Greek got fired for pointing out that blacks make better athletes because of their African heritage. He was right, and his firing was a joke.
It all comes down to heritage and hunting skills. Blacks make good running backs partly because they can quickly read and find holes to run through. That comes from running through the thick brush of the jungle when chasing after tigers, or whatever they ate. When whites hunted mammoths and buffalo, they ran across flat planes and didn't have to keep avoiding trees like the Africans had to. Also, the prey the blacks hunted were faster that the prey of the whites, so blacks had to be faster.
God gives humans and animals the abilities that they need. Whites and blacks both have ancestors that threw spears at animals -- we both have primitive pasts. Actually, there are still African tribes that lead simple lives, but there are also big modern cities in Africa that most of us have never heard of. Anyway, you should be proud of your race, no matter what race that is.

I agree, they need to pay Urlacher....Harrison is a stud! If he didn't get caught with a blunt and an "X" pill he would've gone before Dorsey (because Dorsey had injury problems and missed like 3 games). He's fast and he sheds blocks very quickly...I'm also excited about another former Razorback that we drafted, Marcus Monk. He's 6'6 and will be a good posssession receiver. He has good speed, he ran a 4.5 off of knee surgery...

Hey, stuckinsecland....a mixed person (mixed with white and black) is considered black due to the "slavery times" when the overseers would rape the black slaves. The resulting child would be called "mulatto"...Whites during this time called them black because, black is the dominant color (when compared to white-it's easily seen) and because, obviously in this time no one white wanted a baby with black in them. This has carried on to the present day where people who are mixed with ANY black in them are called black.. | |
