Nice Video LFG, 6'6" good hands and hits a hit, I think your right he would be a great project for Curtis Johnson. The more WRs the Saints bring in the better.
I grew up right outside of Ames (Iowa State University) and still live close to there and have watched Todd play now for the last 4 years. He is a deceptive player and always seems to get open and make the big catch, no matter the situation.
I'm more of a Hawkeye fan than a Cyclone fan, but I was thrilled to see him go the the Saints. I actually think he'll make the roster, not just the practice squad... see ya Devery.
He's also played against some big schools as a member of the big 12, unfortunately he's not had the best QB situation, in fact in his Sophomore year they had 2 quarterbacks that split time... never a good situation, and he still had a great year.
If anything he might be a practice squad residence, but we won't know until training camp. I kind of feel sorry for any WR prospect that comes to this team. The team has depth, and you really have to show some talent to bump one of those guys down. We still have Meachum trying to do some things, then Patten, then Henderson, Copper, Moore, that's 6 wr's right there, and now we got this Rook FA's and Arrington. Somebody is going to get cut. I think we are only going to carry 6, if that many. We got bodies at DT also, we also got bodies right now on the offensive line. Goodwin, Lehr, Strief, Brown, Bushrod, Alleman, Stinchcomb, Nicks,, that's 8 offensive lineman, then you have the CB crop, Glenn, Craft, Young, David, MM, Gay, Porter, not to mention Anwar Phillips and the other street free agents, that's about 10 players. Man there are going to be a lot of hurt feelings at the end of Saints camp.
Im hoping a few of these guys surprise and gives us an overload at talent at a couple posistions so we can possibly trade for an OLB or S to a team that has the same probelm we do at OL and WR
Colston, Marques
Henderson, Devery
Meachem, Robert
Moore, Lance
Patten, David
Copper, Terrance
Ryan, Titus
Green, Skyler
Arrington, Adrian
Blythe, Todd
Moore, Evan
Last season the Saints kept 6 so maybe they will do the same this season. I have been looking at this trying to guess who wlll stay and who will go. As stated by someone above, we'll have to wait for training camp to see how some of these rookies work out.
Todd Blythe and Evan Moore are both big guys. Evan Moore is listed at 6' 7" and 236lbs. Maybe there are some thoughts to try one of these guys at TE. You got to love such big targets. Hopefully these guys can play.
