when its all said and done do you think lebron will replace jordan as the face of the nba? lebron reminds me of Magic being that size and doing what he does. except he's alot more physical. i see james doing things we have never seen before later in his career and being the greatest of all time.

I don't think he will, but he will be known as one of the 5 best players ever. Jordan did it all, won 6 titles, Defensive player of the year, raised everybody's game. Lebron has a ways to go defensively, and the NBA is about winning championships because a superstar has more of an impact then in baseball or football. I don't see Lebron winning 6 titles, but it is still early.

if he wins at least 3 titles and keeps at the pace he is right now... yes he will replace jordan as the face of the nba.. but winning 3 titles and staying on pace are extremley difficult... i hope he can because he is not only one of the greatest players ever but the most unselfish superstar ever

He has to stay healthy to do anything close to what mike did. I think he has as much Publicity as Mike did if not more now. He does not have the rings to support his cause and not sure if he will get them if he stays in Cleveland. He needs to also be a defensive player of the year like mike was and be able to take a game over single handily ...right now he bu he just can't do it consitently. (that also has to do with his supporting cast Wally Zerbiak (SP) Ben Wallace are you kidding me?)
The cavs have no Pippen, Cartwright, Paxon, Bj Armstrong or Craig Hodges. Maybe a few more drafts or a free agency move to bring the other Ohio son home Michael Redd (what the heck does he see in Milwaukee?)
Here is the Key IF he really wants to replace Mike he needs to pay Craig Ehlo to come back and talk trash to get him hyped up and drop fifty to sixty a night in the playoffs to give him legend status such as Mike!

The Cavs have no Pippen, but Cartwright, Paxson, Armstrong, Hodges, etc., they have all that. Those guys were just role players that looked better because of MJ. Lebron is a very unselfish player, but he doesn't make the other players better yet like MJ did. He'll learn to do that. And also, Pippen was a project, Jordan pushed his ass every day to make him the player he became.

I think if Kobe wins the championship this year , you have to look at him as the current face of the NBA. I'm from Akron and am a huge Lebron fan and his day is definately coming, but at 22 we ask him to do too much for 1 team, the numbers he is currently putting up are historical, but championships are what create legacies

Kobe does have three championships already and possibly a fourth post Shaq...he may be the face of the NBA but he also has some baggage as in labeled as a cry baby and some infedelity issues that Lebron does not have. Although in his defense his trade me or shaq may have worked out in his favor with him staying as the man in LA and Shaq struggling with Miami after his ring and now with Phx.
My thoughts are Lebron still has not been able to take over and just destroy like MJ could and would...where as Kobe can hit 50 a night it seems and take over a game at will. They both are great and I agree Lebron must win a few titles to be the face of the NBA.

The Cavs do NOT have a Scottie Pippin. If they do where is this:
· 3x All-NBA First Team Selection (1994-1996)
· 2x All-NBA Second Team Selection (1992, 1997)
· 2x All-NBA Third Team Selection (1993, 1998)
· 8x NBA All-Defensive First Team Selection (1992-1999)
· 2x NBA All-Defensive Second Team Selection (1991, 2000)
· 7x NBA All-Star (1990, 1992-1997)
· 1x NBA All-Star Game MVP (1994)
The closest thing the Cavs have to a Pippin is Z, and he has robotic legs. For you to lump Pippin in there with the rest of Jordan's supporting cast is a JOKE. He was a true Robin to MJ's Batman. LBJ hasn't had that player since he's been in the league. Scottie Pippin would have been the best player on MANY other teams in the league while he was playing.

I am so sick of hearing about james supporting cast, if they win it was lebron if they lose its the other players. Give me a break jordan would have won with about anyone. To even compare james to jordan right now is ridiculous.
