wells, then moreno.

Wells is going to get more than 2,000 yards rushing this year, he is also the returner and will get more total yards that way, and TDs.

moreno is a great RB, being 2nd isnt the worst thing ever.

and wells' back up is saine, he is small but VERY fast. i think he has gained some muscle though, hopefully he will be ready for whenever wells leaves.

From a Trojan perspective, I see McKnight being a big producer, but more as a tandem, Thunder & Lightning type of use. Who will be this year's Lendale White?? Stafon Johnson, Gable or Bradford probably. McKnight's not an every down back IMO, and his talents dont lie between the tackles.

Is McCoy that good?

Howlong,

Yeah McCoy is the real deal. He is out of Harrisburgh, PA. He was very highly recruited 2 years ago. Was going to PSU but could not make grades. So he went to JUCO for one year and ended up at Pitt.

Wells is definitely the premiere back in the country next year.  Sorry, Moreno is great but not at the same level as Wells.

Wells is about 6'1" and 240 lbs., and Moreno is 5'11" 205.  Because of his frame in addition to what he can do athletically he projects much better at the NFL level, where the real money is made between the tackles.

Wells should be the number one contender for the Heisman as the buckeyes will ride him all season.  They also return a monster offensive line group and added OL studs via recruting.  Richt likes to spread the ball around a bit more and bring in more backs, which isn't a bad thing.  But next year should be the year of the Beanie and the year osu finally gets it done, and if they can't, something is wrong in columbus.

the only thing wrong in columbus is the defenseive coordinator who sticks by a very horrbile zone. the defense has the speed for some man-man, they should use it.

I think the best running back is Beanie Wells, I think PJ is def. up their though, the best tandems are the UGA's, Clemsons and Wisconsins. Though Wisconsin's 2nd running back isn't set yet, but is should be really good.

If Wells is gonna get enough carries to break 2,000 yards, then OSU should darn well know better than to have him returning kicks too. That would be beyond ignorant and stupid both.

He would need to get 70 more carries and maintain his nearly 6 yard per carry average to break 2000. That is an insane thing to predict, even if he did break 1600 last year.

yeah but he also had an injured ankle last season that limited his carries somewhat. 70 more carries Is easily feasible. I agree with you about using him as a return man would be stupid.  He gets enough abuse being a pounding back that he shouldn't have to take on the bone jarring hits you get from special teams on top of it.

Remember he did sit out a game last year and had very poor performances in the early games due to his injuries and he even said he wasn't excited to play YSU and Akron...

1. Chris Wells: Strong, Big, Fast. His all around elusivness will make him a great college back and a 2009 Heisman Winner.

2. Knowshon Moreno: Good size, speed, agility. He will be a close second to Beanie. I prefer a bigger back.

3. C.J. Spiller: Speed! He has unquestionable speed that will make him hard to catch and hard to takle in the open field.

4. Arian Foster: Senior with experience and poise on the field. He had 1000+ yards last season and will only improve.

5. Joe McKnight: Has great potential. He is a bit skinny and had 5.7 yards per carry last season! He is a solid back. (Remember another USC back who had nearly mirror image stats in his Freshman Year, Reggie Bush) I do not think he wil be as good but he will be better than Chauncey Washington.

I hate to tell you guys but Noel Devine may be looking at 3 years in the dog house for battery! But my sources may be wrong.
