It's a good idea for him to get a job where he's allowed to make phone calls.

It's about time he thought of going this route.

and he'll probably make just as much money doing this where he can do whatever the hell he wants.

I completely agree - he should have done this after Oklahoma. Coaching has never been his flaw - hopefully the NBA will be better for him, and IU will recover quickly.

he is a better coach than recruiter, he'll be a head coach on a NBA team soon...maybe with the Knicks since integrity doesn't mean much there.

I am glad WE got him, he will bring a different dimension to the Bucks, and we need all the help we can get.  Hopefully, Skiles and Sampson can bring some D for our soft team, Sampson did not do something illegal but made too many phone calls, but in the NBA he can make all the calls he wants

I'm not so sure.  Seems like we should have guys with more integrity.  He clearly did what he knew to be wrong, why would we want someone who ignores morality as a coach?  I know it seems like morality and coaching aren't connected, but I'd argue you need someone the players can respect (especially on a young team), and no one respects cheaters.

Still, I hope he does a good job here.

Hahahaha! We lambaste athletes for cheating or allegedly cheating and yet some of you are actively rooting for a coach who cheated...TWICE! We also lambaste athletes with character issues, off the field issues, etc., (please see the Bengals legacy recently).

This guy should never be allowed to coach an intramural squad let alone in the NBA with his lack of integrity and cheating ways!

Mandalay . . . I have to agree with you.  While Sampson definitely has some coaching skills, he is still a cheater.  He cheated while at Oklahoma and got caught.  He then goes to Indiana and cheats.  Guess what?  He got caught again.  I'm thinking he may not be as bright as he led everyone to believe.  Either that, or he's convinced that "whatever it takes" is acceptable.  With money not being an object in the NBA, he'll unfortunately probably do well.

But I completely agree that a cheater is being rewarded and that's pretty pathetic.

All you guys that are saying he is a cheater! give me a break! WHo has not cheated in some sort of degree!  Don't answer back because the first one that say they never cheated is a lie! And you just cheated there! Bottom line Scott Skiles brought him in to help develop a Bucks team with no identity what so ever! The guy can coach, he did it at oklahoma & indiana. Milwaukee will be a better basketball team with him in the coaching staff.
