Are you guys excited about Singleton? I followed his recruiting throughout his senior year and really wanted to see him dress out in a Wildcat uniform.  However, the cards didn't fall like I wanted.  I will however try to pay close attention to your guys' season and see how he developes.  I like his size and style.

Funny you should bring him up. Rivals just released their new Top 150 and Singleton was one of the featured recruits who made the jump to five star status after the McDonalds All-American week even though he didn't have much success in the actual game. He moved up to the #12 recruit in the nation.

Our class is actually one of the best in the nation, even though Singleton is the crown jewel. We have three other Top 100 recruits coming in. Leonard Hamilton did a great recruiting job this year and the Noles could be making their way back to the top of the ACC and the NCAA Tournament. Just in time too as the regional is in Boston this year and the first two rounds are in Providence next season. Here's hoping I see FSU and Singleton up this way in the postseason in the next couple of years.

Yes, I am very excited about Singleton.  He is the player that we need on our team.  We have a great incoming class this year and I cannot wait to see them all in action over the next two years.

GO NOLES!!!

Singleton is going to do amazing for the noles. Too bad he wont be starting for FSU though, hell still have to be the backup for Vaughn and Echefu for the next two years.

FSU Boston,

We have a great recruiting class every year, #1 in 2004, but it does nothing.

It was the '03 class that was ranked the best in the nation because of Von Wafer and Alexander Johnson. Antonio Griffin was a JUCO recruit who transferred after one year and Diego Romero who underperformed as well. Granted you can't base next year's expectations on the recruiting class alone, but we've got a solid nucleus coming back and the guys that are coming in should contribute pretty quickly. I'm not saying were all of a sudden a title contender but this class should get us over the hump and back into the NCAA Tournament. I'm tired of the 7-9 or 8-8 seasons that put us squarely on the bubble or in the NIT. It's time to put up some 10-6 or 11-5 seasons that give FSU a shot to compete in the Madness!!

That was '92 and '93 (Sweet 16 in '92 and Elite 8 in 1993). I was in the student section back in those days! I actually had classes with Cassell, Edwards and Dobard. I don't think Sura ever went to class and Charlie was too smart so I wasn't in any of his classes . I still recall heckling Christian Laettner, Bobby Hurley, Brian Davis & Co. from under the basket like it was yesterday......
