geno,
Again, good points. I'm going to agree with most everyone on this board and assume that there won't be any hold outs. For the most part, Phil Savage has done a good job getting everyone signed and in on time. Plus, the Browns have a lot more leverage now coming off of a winning season.
Beau Bell was our highest draft pick and, in my opinion, is probably the only player that has leverage to hold out. I don't think he will, considering what I've heard or read about him. The guy loves football and is just happy to have a chance to make it to the NFL.
I don't understand why fans take it so personally when players do hold out.
I'm also with you on this one. The NFL is a business, and yes... it does hurt chemistry somewhat when players hold out. I know a lot of folks are mad because Kellen may be holding out this season if he doesn't get his deal re-worked. I don't think that if someone holds out they should be cut. Holding out alone hurts them, because of the incentive-laden deals that franchises are now using. It hurt Quinn last season and will continue (probably) to hurt him this season. The NFL is still structured to help the franchise, not the players, and hold outs aren't hurting the Browns' bottom line.
