Okay, so we all know the Chiefs had a pretty solid draft. With that said, we need to figure out how we are going to use the tools we picked up. The most obvious question is how we plan to use Branden Albert.
As you all know, Albert played left guard for a majority of his time at Virginia. However, he did flex out to left tackle for two games (and did an above-average job). Scouts say he has the form, footwork, and speed to be a left tackle in the NFL... but maybe not from day one.
So, you are GM for a day (okay, a season), where do you start Branden Albert? Keep in mind both the needs of the team (LT) and the long-term developmental issues associated with over committing a rookie. Can we afford to wait (and risk losing a shot to assess Brodie behind a decent line)? Can we afford not to wait (and risk losing our 15th pick because of wanting early returns)?
