With a lack of any legitimate #1 goaltender prospect in the system and two older goaltenders (Nikolai Khabibulin and Patrick Lalime) in the NHL, this guy is worth a shot. He could either be the next Niklas Backstrom from the Wild, or he could be the next Juuso Riksman, who signed and showed up to camp for the Blues, but was back in Sweden by November. If this guy is the real deal, the Blackhawks just got a lot better, pretty quickly.

I think they got deeper, but not much better.  He may be the future of the organization but the present is set and improving with the players around Knabibulin.  But certainly--you are right--he is worth a shot.

I thought Crawford looked pretty good during his time up this season, albeit limited.  A shut out against the Ducks and some strong performances where he didn't get a lot of help.   I feel pretty good at the Goalie prospects hte Hawks are mining.

Will the Hawks finally find a taker for Nikolai Khabibulin by the start of camp?

Got news for ya folks Corey Crawford is the real deal, a SO against the defending cup champs, strong performences in his other starts.  In the AHL playoffs he's been very good with the Rockford Icehogs.  But as for the finnish guy hey every one is worth a look, right??  You never know what your going to get until you see him in action.

Are you retarded?  Crawford is one of the better young goaltending prospects in the NHL.  This guy is a nice depth signing, but Crawford is definately the future, if he can keep up his steady growth.

Do your homework amateur.
