Shouldn't Time Warner be included as well because that is the hang up with them as well? People should get Directv or Dish anyway...better price...better plans...better picture...way superior customer service.

Unfortunately Comcast is the only option we have in Middle TN. AT&T and Verizon have both been trying to offer cable TV service in the area but the the state is requiring certain guarantees from the two companies.
I hope the state will change the legislation and allow other companies to bring in some competition to Comcast, becuase Comcast is taking full advantage of their monopoly in mid-TN.

Directv is a must for me as a Rams fan in California, but if ANYONE else carried sunday ticket I would go to them in a heartbeat. Directv nickel and dimes you like you couldn't believe, and their customer service is terrible... Just my .02...

100% in agreement with Rams32k. Unfortunately, I believe the contract was just renewed with DirecTV through 2012 (could be wrong about the year). So, it seems that we are stuck with DirecTV!
Also, if I'm not mistaken, the NFL Network is actually part of the "sports pack" on DirecTV which is an added cost, so it's not like it's basic on DirecTV either.

Goodness! Before I moved to Houston, my wife got Dish Network instead of Comcast. How did that happen? At first, she ordered Comcast and then the technician was no-show even tho she called Comcast and was told that "technician did come and then no answer" then she had like 4 to 5 people in the house to look out for the technician. So it was a lie and then proceed to order Dish Network. After I moved to Houston, blah blah and discovered that I'm addicted to NFL Network. Yes, it's silly for Comcast to charge extra for this popular show. I'd say indeed to either Directv or Dish Network.

Im a Buc's fan stuck in Minny, Direct tV is a must, a Shmidt load of HD channels. I have 5 box's, so I can watch every game on Sun. It cost alot and there is no way around it. extra $5 for every box, extra $99 for HD, extra $99 for all the other goodies, it never stops. And the customer service does suck!

I don't bother with a dish. All you have to do is search the internet, you can find almost any game you want streaming....for free.

TRSpidey - We deal that sort of crap all the time with Comcast in mid-TN. Comcast pretty much runs things the way the want to becuase they're the only cable TV provider.
I tried the Dish but there are often bad winds where I live and it really afftected my reception so I went back to cable.

Thanks south beach didn't know that. I will never get Directv they are crooks. I'm taking them to court. I attempted to get the service it didn't work in my area and now they want to charge me an early disconnection fee. THEY SUCK. Plus they charge you for HD. Plus each receiver. Never again. It's the net or sports bar for me. Jets fan in NC.

Pffff.. DirecTV and DISH both suck. I have 6 tvs in my house and to have them all running on DIRECTV or DISH costs sooo much more than TW cable. I pay one fee for TW cable and can run all of them for the same price. Plus the satellite companies reception comes and goes but I have NEVER had a problem with cable reception plus their customer service has been very good. The NFL wants the cable companies to pay for their being on cable for free. NFL sucks and so does the satellite companies.

Dish doesn't have NFLN on the lowest package (top 60) anymore. You have to upgrade now. But if you are an NFL diehard (like so many of us) you be smart to shell out the money 4 DirectTV and Sunday Ticket or Dish and the NFLN.

In terms of value for the money, Verizon's FIOS TV service is the best around. The picture is incredible, the service is great, and you get like 200+ channels for only $42.99 a month, including NFL Network. The lowest tier of Comcast's digital cable is over $55.00/month.

We have Dish network, and got the 2nd tier to get NFL network. Less than 6 months later, they pushed NFL Network up to the 3rd (more expensive) tier, and replaced it with the Big 10 Network.

I have Comcast and NFL Network comes in the same package as Versus, Golf Channel, ESPN, ESPN2, WGN, TBS all in HD. No complaints here. I wouldn't give you a nickel for either one of the dishes. Just read the fine print. Read their ads..
They say no equipment to buy...of course not...they RENT it to you...they say no start up costs...BS...there is a set up fee of $19.99 PLUS you have to pay some rentals up front..in my book those are start up costs.
American advertisers flat out lie to consumers every day. Read, read, read...and make your own decisions.

yeah, problen is some people live in an area like philly. what that means comcast has rights to flyers and the 76ers. and direct tv or dish network cant carry either one. oh and its not cheaper. if you get a package deal phone internet ,cable and the sports package that the nfl is talking about. its 105 a month in a two year contract. oh and im sure comcast is pissed because of the nfl exclusive rights with the nfl network. if anything is bullshit its that. i have both when i dont need both. cable is clearly better. i have both and cable hd is far superior than direct tv. and on demand is amazing. i know about dvr but that is too much work on demand its just there. oh and if its windy you dont lose tv.

time warner and comcast offer all 3 phone internet and highspeed internet and basic cable 99 a month for all 3 and 5 more dollars get you nfl network. the phone service has everthing unlimited calling in us no long distance call waiting and a slew of other features. the dishes are the biggest rip off. i will say the porn on the dishes rules though.
