With Tony Pena Jr, and Jose Guillen both hitting so poorly, why doesn't Trey Hillman shake up the lineup to get more pop in this offense? Callaspo is hitting .350, and Mark Teahen came into the league as a shortstop, so why not pull TPJ until Guillen starts hitting? What about platooning the outfielders Guillen, and Joey Gaithright (gives you speed on the bases), then when Guillen sits TPJ plays? They also need to get Miguel Olivo in the lineup more! Maybe play Ross Gload in the outfield in place of Guillen, Billy Butler at first base, and Olivo at DH! Just seems that the Royals have too much talent sitting, while these two continue to struggle at the plate!

I have been saying this all season, put Mak Teahan in the infield sit Tony Pena Jr. or at least sit Pena and put CAllaspo at SS, Joey Gaithright has to play way to much speed not to play. I think we think we can stay in the race in the central so should go after Barry Bonds has DH sit Ross Gload and put Billy Butler at first, and sit TPJ and move Mark Teahan to SS and have Gaithright on the bases when Bonds is up. with shift they plan on Bonds steal Joey and he will be at third with Bonds just making contact.

So if John Buck goes in a deep slump and Olivo gets hurt, should we just move Teahen in to catch too?   I think we ought to just let Teahen stick to one position and leave him alone.  I don't think Bonds is a good idea.  Sure, he'll bring good on base percentage and power, but he brings nothing defensively and I think he'd damage team chemistry.   I think this team is focused and is on a mission.  If we were to sign Barry, we'ld be sick of him within 2 weeks as everything would start being about Barry.  This team will start to hit, its been frustrating I know, but the change will come from within.   Remember, less than 2 years ago this team was a dump.  Couldn't hit, couldn't field, and couldn't pitch either.   I think as fans we can all agree that we're pretty content with how our pitching staff looks and our defense ranks towards the top of the league.  Dayton, and now Trey are moving this team in the right direction and until they prove differently, they have my trust.  The Royals are in better shape than the Chiefs are now.
