Webb will be the NL CY Young Winner. Not to say that there isn't more baseball to be played, but seriously, he's 8-0!!! If he keeps at this pace, he will have at least 25 wins :). I am an AZ dweller, dislike the DBAcks, but wish Webby all the luck in the world!
32-0 here we come!

He has been great, but a long way to go still it is a joy to watch him pitch right now though

Well, lets not look for 32-0.
But right now, he's the best pitcher in the National League, possibly in baseball, and if the Cy Young was awarded today, Brandon Webb would win.
He's got a beautiful sinker, and has great pitches to complement it with. His stats are crazy!

I'm not a big Diamondback fan, however, I love watching great pitchers. Webb is in the zone right now and the Arizona bats are giving him lots of runs to play with each game. On top of winning his first 8 starts, he has now pitched a complete game! With such an excellent start, it will be very difficult for anyone else to compete with him. Yes, there is lots more baseball to be played, but 8 and 0 is awesome no matter who they are!
I have Webb on one of my fantasy baseball teams and he is making things look sweet in the pitching catagories.
I think Webb is looking for another Cy Young Award!

too early to say Cy Young. I think the Diamondbacks are riding a lot of momentum right now but will falter real soon. There offense is playing well over there heads and they are all hitting well above there lifetime avg. I think Webb is fantastic but watching the game to day i see a few flaws that only Utley seemed to see. You have to move up in the box to stop the late break.

I think your wrong, this Dbacks team is for real. And with great pitching and the excellent bats, even if the bats cool a bit, the pitching is keeping them in most every game.

Many of those bats are also younger, so they're probably due to improve their lifetime averages.

Unlike Charlie Manuel, I'm going to withold any and all comments about Brett Myers and just chalk this game up to Brandon Webb's outstanding outing. That was just an amazing performance last night - fun to watch for everyone but the Phils hitters. This guy is clearly one of the best pitchers in baseball right now.
