nowadays Lakers have the most haters in the nba. is it because we got the best player in the nba? or because we basically stole pau from the grizzles? or becasue kobe won the mvp? or because or bench/role players are doing their job? or because we're playin without our starting center bynum? why

does a certain player who is above the law and paid his way out of prison who definitly raped a girl. Thats why i will always hate where kobe goes we all know where he belongs but because the Judicial system is just based on the money you pay for good layers he got away with it.

I don't hate the Lakers. Some of their fans can be annoying (not including Bosh, Norieaga, Glassman, Vic, Lakers+USC, 2408, ignorepeter, etc., etc.) but for the most part I like watching the Lakers play. They're just really arrogant.
But if my team had that kind of history I'd probably be boisterous too.

2 words, Kobe Bryant. If we had LeBron James, Tracy McGrady, Deron Williams, Chris Paul, basically any superstar who didn't get in trouble, it would be different. That, and if some of our fans weren't jerks to other team's fans.

Truer words were never spoken, Glassman. You have just earned a spot on my favorites list as a quality poster. You nailed it on the head. Its the arrogance of Kobe and the jerks that gravitate to the Lakers because they want to say they support a winner. Its not all the Lakers fans, its not even most of them. I have many on my favorires, like lakers2408, noriega, Vic, and even NateDog. Its just the hanger-ons who want to be associated with a winner.
Also, people will always have a tendency to question the true loyalty of a person who pulls for a perennial champion. Are they a fan in the "truest" sense. Think about it, who would consciously choose to be a Grizzlies fan, or a Timberwolves fan, unless they actually live there. I would be more likely to believe a person is genuinely a Lakers fan if they live in the LA area. I question it when I see someone from Connecticut or Georgia and they say they are a Lakers fan.
Same thing historically applied to Dallas Cowboys fans years ago, and Patriots fans today.

I believew ther is tree reasons why.
1. Kobe- All his previous offcourt drama, His ballhogging days, The whole Shaq debacle. Plus whenever someone is that darn good people want to hate the person Michael jordan put up with the same thing.
2. The fans- lakernation has some idiotic,moronic and stupid fans. All they doo is spout Kobe this...Your team sucks. Alot of lakerfans don't enjoy the actual game don't know anything about the game except what they hear on the news. It puts alot of true laker fans in a bad light. But as a laker fan ya got put up with it.
3. History- when a team is so good for so long people get tired of hearing about them. When every sport outlet is raving about a team nonstop it gets on peoples nerves hell i even fall in that catagory alot of times anyway thats my take on it.

I think most fans on here just dislike a lot of Lakers fans. I like many, but some are insuferable. Many Lakers fans feel it is all a given and their sh!! dont stink. Too bad. That is a good team, but I cannot stand about 80% of Lakers fans. I can name about 4 people that are Lakers fans that are my most favorite, but so many make me want to hate the human race. They just dont get it. This is a game we all love, not a a cage fight. We have the same in some Jazz fans, but not on that scale. We post because we love ball, not hate some city we dont live in. I surely goes all ways, but Lakers fans, please sometimes. I have given nothing but props and some of the respnce I get are unbelievable. I do not get that from most other fans.

The same reason why people hate the cowboys, yankees, Notre Dame, USC, and the Patriots.(well we should hate patriots because they cheat). But anyway, fans hate the fans of the team with the most successful history. Its not only because of Kobe Bryant, sure he added fuel to the fire, but people been hating the Lakers before Kobe was even in the league.
But Lovellt, how are we always picking fights? The only arguments we get in is when someone is hating on Kobe. We don't come on this board and say things like "your teams suck" etc. Some people don't like us because we always support Kobe. To them, its not ok to keep supporting kobe but it is great to keep hating on him.

Just some of the fans are VERY arrogant and won't listen to anyone else that disagrees with anything they say. Not saying all the fans are like that, but some certainly are and that is why I hate the Lakers.

The only arguments we get in is when someone is hating on Kobe.
Personally, I'm sick of this "hating" nonsense. Just because someone has an opinion that you don't agree with doesn't make them haters.
And thats the rub with most of us regarding most (not all) Lakers fans. I'll give you an example. Chris Paul shot over 48% from the field this season. Kobe has never shot over 48% in his career.
But, if I post and say, "Chris Paul has a better FG% than Kobe Bryant ever had" , every Laker fan this side of the Arctic Circle will be on here jumping my case about "hating on Kobe". Its NOT HATING, its just a FACT. Why is that "hating"? Are the Lakers fans so insecure about their team they can't accept the truth; that a players actually DO miss shots, players actually DO commit fouls, and players actually DO turn the ball over, and that players on other teams can actually BE better than players on their team?
HATING is when someone makes stupid comments that attack a player personally, such as the rapist comments, which even I am sick of.
