Could someone tell me why the Knicks are still trying to when and lower what slim chance they had at landing Michael Beasley or Derrick Rose. The season had been lost months ago. Look at what the Heats did started resting there players with these so-called season ending injuries so they can secure that #1 pick.

Thats ok if they do not get the #1 or #2 Jerryd Bayless is a nice little guard  who they can pick and start building around. Just get the stench of Isiah and Marbury out of here thats all I really want.

Now that Zeke is gone, get Babybury out of here.  I am sick of his drama queen, cancerous attitude and bring in Rose.  And if he was here with Rose for one year, he would be a horrible influence on Rose.

rock_da_house,

We aren't getting Love AND Rose.

What the Knicks need is a true point guard. Someone who can run the offense and create for the other players. A PG who makes his whole team better Aka Nash, Paul, Williams etc. That is something we never had in Steph as he only cared about his own stats.

We also need to get Marbury with his negative attitude out of here and Curry "Mr I don't play D" out of here. They are bad for the whole team.

Yeah theres no way your getting both Love and Rose. I'm surprised the Knicks even have a first round pick, I thought Isiah would've traded it for Kwame Brown or Stromile Swift.

I they need a true center though. At PG, they have Crawfod, Nate, and for now Marbury, so Rose will have to unneccesarily split time. At SG they can play Crawford and Q-Rich. They have Q-Rich, and David Lee for small forward. Lee and Randolph at power forward. They have Curry at center but he's proven that he's not going to be a long-term solution. So I would say they should get someone like Lopez if they have the third or fourth pick, maybe even second.

If the Knicks get first pick, I would get Beasely, but if not I would think they are better off taking a center, unless they can unload Marbury. Or if they drop down because of a poor lottery, maybe look into getting Eric Gordon or even O.J. Mayo, because Q-Rich is too injury prone, and those 2 guys have the potential to be stars in the league.

i got an idea           package guys for first round picks  get two more top picks and build your team up with 3 young guys that will help us out in the long run    curry crawford and randolph in seperate deals and package other guys around them   then draft it up get top guys at there positions  then let a coach get them ready to play pro ball  i think this will work  the team will grow together  chemistry will be great in a couple years  bring in a couple free agents and get vet leader ship and watch this will work for sure just gotta hope the value in the guys are still decent

You moron, this isn't the NFL where the worst record guarantees you the 1st pick. The Celtics tried that and they didn't even get a Top 3 pick. Back to the original question of Beasley or Rose? If the Knicks are fortunate enough to get the #1 pick, they must take Rose. He is the better fit.

Lopez, are you kidding me? The Knicks need guard play in the worst way. Rose is the choice here. Let's say the Knicks get #3 pick, both Rose and Beasley will be gone. I would look hard at Mayo or Bayless. The only big man I would consider is Love, he has All-Star written all over him. Lopez will be a decent player but not worth a Top 5 pick.

Hoopheaven21, I agree the Knicks need a PG. For years they had drafted forwards and that didn't help, they might have to trade for a PG. That's if they can't get one in the draft. But in anyway next year is going to be just the start of things to come.

Its Rose ,Bayless or even Mayo way before Love in terms of need.  How many "true centers" are in the playoffs now?  Its a dying breed, and the team already has some size, point guard is a dire need right now.  Love will be a 4 in the pros I'd assume anyway.   And yeah, if they lose out on the top of the draft, gonna have to poach a backup from a contender in a trade or signing.

The Knicks should go for Rose and if somehow they could pick up another mid first round pick they should look for JaVale McGee. While Beasley is a great athletic player the question becomes where do you play him? His height is the problem, many teams would be reluctant to move him to the power forward position. With Rose and McGee this team would be much more athletic and look like the Suns team D'Antonio is used to. McGee has a great basketball mind and can dunk from everywhere. While playing with Fazekas as Nevada they would work on their jumpshots.

If we get the #1 or #2 pick, draft Rose if we can.  We need a true point guard and although Beasley is going to be a monster, we cannot afford to not draft Rose if we can get him.  Also, he will be the starter.  Babybury cannot start over him at PG.  We can put him off the bench where he belongs besides off the team.  Because of his expiring contract which will clear us 20 mil. next year, we cannot trade him.  We will only get bad contracts in return.  And who said that the PG's if we drafted Beasley would not be that bad with Crawford, Nate, and Babybury?  That would be horrible.  You did say Cancerbury needed to go, but Nate cannot be a starting PG in this league.  He is better is an energy spark off the bench or a sixth man b/c he is too selfish, is too hyperactive, and does not play any D.  Also, Crawford is NOT a point guard.  He mostly played SG.  If we draft Rose and Babybury is stuck on the roster for one more year, Crawford will not be playing any point.  And Nate will be splitting time at the 1 and 2 positions.  Babybury (unfortunately) and Rose (if drafted) will be the 2 main PGs.
