Here is another look at the Doucet interference where you can clearly see him tackled in 3 different camara angles. ("break for Auburn")

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAHL8rCd1RU&feature=related

Here's a look at the phantom personal foul in 2004 ("what a break for Auburn")

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1U8nWN7-qg

I don't believe that any objective observer can deny that this is pass interference ("boy, Auburn got away with one there")

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPhQGRUQLTs&feature=related

This is not about changing any results or making excuses, it is more about historical reality and integrety.

Forever the 2004 game will be "the extra point game" and the 2006 game "the interference game". and for good reasons..

There have been other bad calls in other games. That is not the point of this post.

Alabama may have a legitimate shot at the title should they be able to get by their most current nemesis. Auburn , LSU and Miss State.

Lets not forget the other games:"

Clemson

UGA

Tennesse

and Then winning the SEC championship game, I we make it through that unscathed, theres no way you deny us a trip to the big dance.

Will it happen........................... NO, I wish but no. A trip to the SEC championship is all I ask for. Hell a win against Auburn is all I ask for.

Tuberville (?) was pretty lackluster at the end of last season.  Sheesh let's try and be a little reasonable here.Xerxes,  it must really suck that even when Tubberville is "lackluster" (your opinion) his team still beat yours.  You better hope he's lackluster this year, that way, Auburn will only score 30 points instead of 40+ in their 7th  Iron Bowl victory in a row.
As an Auburn fan I must say I'm thoroughly enjoying the tit-for-tat between you bama and LSU fans!

WOW, Boyd.  Such a witty retort.  How long did it take you to come up with that?

Auburn may have a shot but they have two probelms. Say what you will about LSU's QB situation, but Auburn is in the same boat...no experience. 2) They lose to LSU in Auburn . The payback for the cheap shot on Dorsey has been stewing and the team and the fans have not , nor will they , just let it slip by.

Burns actually did play in a few games last year. Auburn isn't exactly in the same boat in that LSU's QBs now have no experience. Auburn does have a little.

I was wondering when the Dorsey thing would come up. You know, that Dorsey thing that Dorsey himself said wasn't a dirty play. Guess that's not enough for you. If you need crap like this to get you fired up it says a lot about you. It's not like LSU 'fans' didn't have a field day sending hate mail and death threats to an 18 year old young man or anything, when in reality he made the right play and it was the man that stood Dorsey up that made the mistake. (I know both of their names. Betting you don't. Guess you also don't know that cut blocks are legal. I'll even go one further and say that a penalty most definitely should have been called. Two men can't engage one in that manner. But since it was in Death Valley you can't whine about refs and bad calls, now can you? Of course not.)

You're still stewing about it...just plain ridiculous. Never mind that it was so obviously a mistake....never mind. If you're going to be blind nothing I say is going to change you. Cheap shot...sigh. That entire sequence took less than 2 seconds yet it was apparently so carefully orchestrated. How LSU fans can watch the clip dozens of times over and not even consider this just leaves me shaking my head.

've never heard anyone call 2006 'the interference game', even LSU fans. How could it be the interference game when LSU fans whine about 20 other calls (literally 20 others)? Quit making up crap.

A trip to the SEC championship is all I ask for. Hell a win against Auburn is all I ask for.Boyd - Out of all the Bama posters on here, you are the first that has made the statement about beating Auburn.  All the others say beating Auburn is no big deal and all that matters is winning the SEC CG.  Kudos for you.
