After having to go to 7 games against the Hawks and are now 0-4 on the road in the playoffs, how many of you think the Celtics can still win it all? I know alot of teams haven't been winning on the road, but one of them that is is the Pistons. It's looking like the Pistons will advance to the ECFs this year, and will be playing the Celtics or Cavaliers.
If the Celtics advance, will they be able to beat the Pistons? If we see them go to all 7 games against the Cavs and go 0-6 away, is there anyway anyone (besides Celtics homers) see them making it past the Pistons and winning it all? The Pistons can win on the road, and are a very experienced playoff team. If they get to the Finals, they would be playing the Spurs, Lakers, Jazz, or Hornets. 3 out the 4 of them (Hornets are the only exception) are good playoff teams as well.
So what do you guys think....still one of the favorites? Or is everyone starting to lose faith?

If the Celtics don't win a game on the road against the Cavaliers, I guarantee they won't beat the Pistons in the ECFs this year. That's even if they get by the LeBron James and the Cavs.

I'll say this. Since the Celtics can't seem to win on the road, if they lose in Boston once, they're done! Until they can win on the road, I won't change my mind, they're not winning it all, and someone will beat them in Boston.

Cavs have won 2 road games.
That's true tribe and, like GlassMan said, if the Cavs win one on the road against the Celtics, they will probably win the series. Looks like the mighty Celtics are being de-throned from their high horse.

Guys, if this pattern of "win at home and lose on the road" continues to happens, then they'll win it all. They have home-court advantage throughout the play-offs. Since the better seed gets 4 out of the 7 games(if it the series does go to 7 games) then they will actually win the Finals.

I think the team that goes from the West will win it all anyway... I am pulling for the Cavs obviously... but as far as the Celts go they havent shown me anything yet this post season that they could in it all... but as long as they win every home game thye will win it all. Dont count them out on the road yet, remember they did have the best road record in the league this year... as we have seen these playoff most teams have struggled on the road... if the Cavs take game 2 tomorrow i htink thye win the series... just my opinion

If the Celtics contiue to have problems on the road, they could be in trouble. Going to seven game series will definatly tire the Boston 3 out. Espically with Detroit being one of the best road teams in the league.
So, yes they still could, BUT something has to change.

Theoretically you are right MRclutch. But do you really think the Pistons or Spurs/Lakers/Hornets won't be able to beat Boston at home? They've all shown they can win a game on the road in the playoffs, at least. Boston looks like a JV team on the road.

That's my exact thinking JGraz. There is no way experienced playoff teams will not win a single road game. Especially the Pistons, who wings pointed out, are one of the best teams on the road.
If the Celitcs can't win at least 1 road game against the Cavaliers, then they won't win one against the Pistons either, I know the Pistons will win at least 1 road game. You have to be able to win on the road if you want to go the distance.

Well, here we go again, the Celts lose a game against the Cavs and Big B is saying
"Looks like the mighty Celtics are being de-throned from their high horse"
JGraz, Big B- I have yet to cast my position on the Pistons. But, your smack seems premature to me, and dare I say, overconfident.
You must remember, your team could not get by the Cavs last year, and now you have Chauncey one bad lateral away from being out for the season.
If I am a Piston, I would be very very humble. I am an elephant on these matters, and, I can irritate wounds
