I have to say I'm sorry to the Bobcats...I've watched a few idiotic moves when it came to personnel hires and TV contracts and such and I insinuated that their organization was racist.

They have now made very sound basketball decisions in firing Sam Vincent and Bernie Bickerstaff and hired Larry Brown and signed a contract with FOXSS to televise thier games.  I was wrong.  I'm sorry...

I'm looking forward to watching a struggling franchise get on their feet.

This was a great move by Jordan and the Bobcats. I can't wait for them to surprise alot of people next year.

The real bandwagon is the Hawks bandwagon. We'll be pulling up in front soon. By the way Jordan was too good a player to have any front office skills (Kwame Brown anyone?) These types of jobs are best suited to the role players. Larry Bird did o.k. but Jordan sucks!!!!

Yes I'm throwing stones from a glass house but we made Billy (Forward Obsessed) Knight step down.

Hawks will win the Southeast in '09!!!!

Secondstage,

It is hard to make sense of your comments, when you list Larry Bird as a role player.  That is one of the most foolish comments I've heard in a while.  Larry Bird is one of the best players in the league and he was a team player.  Team players have better front office skills; not role players.

Whoosh, that isn't what he is saying - read it again. He is saying that Larry Bird is the exception to the role player "rule." And while I agree that the role player/ starplayer is moot distinction, some of the best front office people in history were score-first players - Jerry West is a good example. Jerry was (probably) a wonderful teammate too, but he was much more in the Jordan mold than not. The truth of the matter is that there is no real way of discerning who will be a good front office guy by watching game play. Coaching is a little easier to see, but even still, it's almost impossible to judge how someone will work in non-athletic positions by judging their game play.

They might be it depends if their guys are healthy. I didnt know they fired Bernie Bickerstaff too I thought it was just the headcoach.

If you don't know who Larry Brown is, I'd suggest you
