About 13 and a half hours left till the game from Indiana. I'll be able to cheer on the wings tonight . Ok, is Franzen back tonight or Game 4?

Spetz -- last I heard, he was going to be evaluated again today, with an eye toward possibly being back for Game Four. Let's hope so.

Down to 12 hours or so...Let's see if the Wings can put a strangle hold on this series. If they win tonight, that would take some of the pressure off trying to get franzen back right away. Maybe we could rest him another game even. Though you gotta think what that might do to his momentum.

And by the way, on the Red Wings message board, there are a couple threads going around about Detroit fans not being real fans because the Joe and the Palace haven't weren't sold out over the weekend. If you guys get some time, go over there and show 'em what's up.

I havn't been here for the Ozzie discussion. As most of you know, I am a goalie and have been for most of my hockey career, I've had my fair share of slashing, triping, and misconduct penalties (the tripping penalty was awesome in looks but it links to to game misconduct because I did a pad slide infront of the kid on a break away and he did a 180 degree flip and slid into the bords, and I wish I hadn't done it). But it was all retaliation. I am not exactly a small person, I am sure if I went into the NHL I would be one of the biggest goalies there as 6'2 240lbs. I unerstand Turco slashing tripping exc. becasue when there is someone ifront of me, I cannot see the shot, so if my D doesn't move them, I have to. When they are bigger than I am, I have to do whatever I can to move them which is usually a push with my glove, or I will check them. Now the thing with Ozzie. He should not have done it, but the retaliation to it was out of line. Goalie pads are designed to stop pucks, and where he got hit, the padding is not as thick (at least in my chest pads) as the rest of the pad. Teams love to rough me up because well this is going to sound very cockey and I do not mean for it, but I am very good, and most teams have to try to hurt me to win, I take a ton of slashes, I get tripped all the time, I've been slid into i don't even know how many times, crosschecked, held, you name it. I havn't seen Turco recieve any of that from the Wings. It is not justified for that stuff and as it has been said, there is no place in hockey for it.

I haven't seen too many people on here condoning Ozzie's actions. I know that when I saw the replay again and saw Ozzie put his stick out there, my anger towards Ribeiro subsided a little because I can understand how frustrated he was. Having said that, there is no place in the game for that kind of slash. If he wanted to let Ozzie know he didn't like the stick, get in his face, push him, do something other than swing your stick at him like that. Clearly Ribeiro was frustrated, and it all boiled over.

Just over 11 hours to game time. This is the big game tonight. If the Wings win, it's pretty much over. They need to come out with their best effort of the series tonight.

If i were in Osgoods skates i was just giving the Stars a taste of what Turco gave to the rest of my team. As for the slashi would of let McCarty or Rafalski go at Riberio and throw a few fists at them.
