And for good reason. On paper, we scare no one. A lot of unproven players and we don't really have a "noisemaker" on our team. We'll always be ranked near the bottom because we're not one of the more talented and entertaining teams in the pros. But who cares, we'll always produce a good season whether the media likes it or not.

If I were ranking us, that's probably about where I'd put us too. I believe all our unproven players will blossom, but for now, trano's right. All we've got is guys with potential.

Really the only thing we can be upset at is the fact they listed two teams, Jets & Ravens, above us, in which neither team has a half decent QB. The Jets got their ranking simply because of how much they spent in the off-season, and I have no idea why they put the Ravens above us. As long as we are near the top come DEC who cares about May anyways. This is just ESPN trying to keep us around til Aug.

Yes, Ravens is above Broncos...but how can you explain why they bashed heads during mini-camp last weekend? Jets...ack! Houston Texans? I dunno. Broncos should have beat 'em last season on prime time. New England Patriots at number 1...nothing new. Another 16-0? I doubt so.
Broncos were cautious on signing free agents, making sure no "busts" like last year's Simeon Rice and Sam Adams.
Even they didn't trade away any draft picks for this year. They thoroughly picked the full 9 picks. Most of 'em are "steals". I'm very much looking forward to players like Ryan Clady, Eddie Royal, Jack Williams, Ryan Torain, Josh Barrett and Peyton Hillis. I'm certain that they mostly will make the team.
Number 23? Should have bit more above than this. Broncos gonna have to prove them wrong and do well on the field. Trano's right too.

I thought I'd add that we don't have what the media calls a "superstar" media freidnly probowl type guy. Hopefully that will change with Jay Cutler aka the chosen one. You also have to remember that shanahan, who is a hall of fame coach don't get we wrong, has made some bad personel decisions the last couple of years. Simion rice, Travis Henry, give me a break! We only had 2 probowlers last year. Lynch was an alternative too. That being said I'd rate us at about 20. Ravens, Jets, your kidding right? The Independent variable in everything in denver is the performance of Jay Cutler. If Cutler keeps doing what he's doing we'll be up in the 9-15 next year.
