Still another lineup tonight for the Marlins game.
Kepp is now batting 2nd behind Coreybufferson.
Dunn is in the 7 spot.
Does Baker have a clue?
I think not.

I'm with ya John. Even Thom Brennaman asked why Corey was in the lineup and why Bruce was not in the majors. I really can't understand what is taking so long.

Because Corey Patterdoosh is one of "Dustyz Boys". He has 2 hits today so he'll get plenty of playing time in the next couple days.

You can't just keep moving guys around in the batting order hoping to score some runs. It's clear that isn't working.
Two hits or not, there is a system of getting guys comfortable in the batting order. This is absurd, changing it every day like this.
What, does it come down to just being lucky?

Adam Dunn will NEVER hit successfully without have someone that the pitcher is afraid to pitch to hitting well behind him. Paul Bako, bless his little having a career season heart, will never scare a pitcher enough to make them want to pitch to Adam in order to avoid Bako.

When Dusty was asked today by a beat writer why Patterson was in the lineup he said because he wanted speed at the top of the lineup. I think what Dusty doesnt realize is that speed is no good if that speed never gets on base. Even more, when that speed happens to get on base the speed is then picked off. So basically the Reds have 3 pitchers hitting in the lineup every night, with Patterson, Dunn, and the pitcher.

The only consistent thing about this team is the inconsistency. That goes for everybody from Bob Castellini to Walt Jocketty to Dusty Baker to many of the players.
There are very few guys you can count on to play well day in and day out. And, on a team with BIG money tied up in just a few people, it's amazing how much of that BIG money is wasted.

naticats, dusty obviously has no idea how anything works with baserunners. he doesn´t realize speed doesn´t help at all if it´s not on base, but he knows he´d still rather have speed not getting on base, than slow guys getting on base and just "clogging" them up. words from his own mouth. he´s a moron. i sincerely hope that his reputation for being able to manage personalities is accurate, because he is one of the worst strategists to ever manage a team. i think i, and most posters on this board, know more about baseball than he does.

It's only right that Baker put Patterson in the lineup. He has a guy in right that can't run anymore with an average average and power, a guy in left that won't run at all with no average and a lot of power, so why not balance the outfield with a guy that can run that can't get on base at all? Seems perfectly logical to me! Well, okay, I'm confused as everyone else....but when Dusty sez it, it sounds better! HOnestly......

Yeah, Griff's ability to hit a home run seems to be significantly reduced as of late. Unless Freel is playing it doesn't seem that anyone in the outfield is doing much of anything.

We may not have any say in who gets playing time, but that doesn't mean we have to sit back, shut our mouths and be happy about it. We can voice our opinions and by the look of it, most of us want Busty and/or Patterdoosh gone.
