On College Gameday, he was asked how he thinks the SEC West will be played out next year. I don't exactly remember the quote, and it's from yesterday, but I still know the basic gist of it.

He said that it will come down to LSU and Alabama to win the West, and that Auburn "will go after someone with their new spread offense." And that was pretty much all he said.

I of course thought this was blasphemy. I honestly think Ole Miss has a better shot at winning the West than Alabama this year. I know Alabama brought in that nice recruiting class and all, but seriously, c'mon now. He even picked Auburn over Florida last year. I didn't expect him of all people to reel off this prediction. If he's sticking with LSU/Bama, I don't even want to hear what Lee Corso and Lou Holtz (the thenator of Florida) will be saying next season. Oh well. It could turn out pretty nice for us then if LSU/Bama are favored so that we can start busting some skulls AND have it considered an upset, as well!

War Eagle.

Mark May is an idiot and Lou Holtz is senile (sp).  Corso stirs the pot.  Herbstreit is the only one that I think makes logical choices on who he picks.  Everything is just speculation until after the games are over.  It's fun to predict who you think might win any given Saturday, but most are making a S.W.A.G.  I just call it like it is.

Mark May was generally the worst when it came to picking games and analysis.  It was only this past year that he actually made sense but I see he has reverted back to his old ways of making such bold and accurate (sarcasm) predictions as we are used to hearing from Holtz.

Ha, I saw this as well. I dont understand how anyone can seriously predict Alabama to have a shot this year in the West. The team have this year is going to be just the same as last year. All their "supper recruits" (according to stars some guys put on 18 yr. old kids) wont have that much affect if any. The Saban Hype is dying down already and things arent getting that much better for the Turds.

auburn never gets credit so it doesnt matter... its cooler that way though because then they randomly beat top 10 teams every year and suprise everyone, i honestly think auburn is going to be playing in the sec championship game.. and instead of our defense being dominant this year, i think our offense will.. i expect fannin to have a big year... lsu isnt going to do anything and alabama? haha im not scared of them auburn owns them.

and espn analysts always act like auburn doesnt exsist. so pay no attention to there dumb opinions. i try not to.

The ESPN guys always say this kind of crap about Auburn, but invariably as the year goes forward, a couple of them always jump ship and join the light side of the force again. As for Corso you'd think as many times as picking against Auburn has bitten him in the butt he'd just say "no comment" whenever someone asks him what he thinks of Auburn.

The funny thing about Corso is that he did actually pick us to win the SEC in 2004.  I about $h*t my pants when he did b/c I thought he jinxed the hell out of us.  Turns out he was right.

I used to watch GameDay like it was my job, but I get mad that Corso, Herby, etc say everything like it is a fact and not an opinion.  What gets me more than that is that people freaking believe everything they say!

Bottom line...I love ESPN, but can't stand some of their "analysis"

War Damn

Gameday really pissed me off in 2004. They kept saying they wanted Oklahoma and USC and then after USC blew them out...they all said that auburn should have been the ones playing their. I am so sick of the idiots on ESPN...they do all they can to hate on Auburn.
