Most likely, Tiger will be ready for the Open.  That doesn't mean he'll be ready to win the Open.  What do you think?  Think he will contend for the Open, be somewhere in the middle of the pack or miss the cut?   I think he will contend( at least a top 10 finish).  What about you?  What do you think?  Tell me....

I think he'll be ready. He is still fairly young and is able to recover from surgery faster than if he was in his late thirties or early forties. Where he might struggle is hitting out of the rough. Mentally, he'll be thinking about his knee a little in the rough, but of course he does have the competitive fire it might not bother him at all. You really need to go after it with your lower body and we all know how the rough is in U.S. Opens. I will say he'll finish in the top 15, but if he can keep the ball in the fairway I'll give him the top 5.

Tiger owns Torrey Pines, he has won 4 in a row on that course.  Of course you have to take into consideration that he is coming off knee surgery again and he is rusty.  With that in mind, i think he will compete, maybe top 5 finish.  If he does win I will be surprised, but not very surprised...we are talking about Tiger Woods here!

The big thing is the fact that he's been able to putt for a week now and we'll continue to putt and chip right up until he can perform full swings - and I think this means bad news for the rest of the competitors.

Tigers biggest problem is that when he's confident he over swings with the big sticks - Driver/Woods - forcing him to display his phenominal short game. Being off the leg for a few weeks will probably make him a tad cautious and may improve his timing (even if it reduces some of his distance)

Even more important is the fact that he gets to work on the 1 thing that has hurt him in his last few weeks of play - Putting. Overall he's the best putter in the league but he's struggled at times ESPECIALLY in the last tourney he played.

He starts out slow, but i'm calling Woods by 6 on Sunday

He'll win, the US Open course is made for him....they have lengthed it and yet shortened the rough......and oh it's Tiger. I say he wins and wins it going away 3-4 strokes.

Tiger will topple Torrey Pines.  Tiger won't play unless he can win.  If he can come in 2nd at the Masters playing on one leg, he's going to be roaring at the Open.  Mentally and physically he's the best.
