From watching all the playoff series so far this year I and many disgruntled fans are disgusted by the horrible calls made. During the Rockets-Jazz series a flop called foul cost the rockets game 4 and possibly the series. After the Suns went down 3 games to the Spurs the refs did all they could do to extend the series. Now with this series I have been pushed off of my limits. Detroit has more fans and that will bring in more money, that is a fact. The Magic, minus the turnovers, have outplayed the Pistons in almost every facet (free throw shooting is the only major category). The refs obviously messed up with the 3 points to the pistons in game two, which after seeing the magic down by 2 with 17 seconds left and having the ball changed the game greatly. Then in Game 4 there were absolutely now foul called while hacking Howard every time he touched the ball, 2 free throws shot from the man who leads the league in free throws attempted. Then a ref signaled a blocking foul and Hedo's game winning shot but it was not called because he did not blow his whistle. The two free throws with 1 sec left could have won the game for the Magic. Game 5 however, the Magic played great except with the turnovers, but consistent touch fouls in the Pistons favor and no calls on the Magic side doomed them in another close game. The NBA commissioner has made this league more business oriented rather then sport oriented, and that needs to change. Watch i'm a physic, Celtics-Cavs go 7 games Celtics win, and Lakers will face Boston in the finals with Boston winning a fairly reffed series.

All i hear is sad little cries as Detroit moters past you guys once again. Hedo's shot in game 4? You call that a shot? How long are you guys going to cry about game 2. And make some free throws and you would of had this game. Yes you may have out played us but we stepped up and made big plays when it counted. Tell Hedo to sit down and not bring the ball close to the rim again please. He needs to go up strong so a weak man like Prince doesn't make him fall over flopping for a call. We didn't even have our best player on the floor for 2 games and still won. You guys lost this game yourself please don't blame the refs.

As much as I want agree with you it's still kinda hard to win games when you turn the ball over 19 and 21 times in back to back games.

Wow are you one of the great conservative right conspiracy believers or do you believe in aliens or did you help Al Gore invent the internet. If if and ands were pots and pans etc etc etc. I can point to miss calls against the Pistons too like ball being out of bounds in final minute and last touched by Magic and Ref missed it. The Magic problem is besides not being able to shoot free throws is they are too short against the Pistons. With two small forwards and a guard is like 4'10. We outrebound, out hustle, you turned it over. They looked like a high school team out there with their ball handling skills

Outrebound? The Magic had more rebounds overall in the game and the series. They did turn the ball over way too many times and that is the major reason they lost game 5.

Well since a genius wrote this, (and by the way I hope you watched every game because you made some generalizations) lets go over some of these comments.
1) Orlando outplayed detroit in almost every facet
Game 1 - Detroit had a higher shooting %, higher 3-pt %, higher free throw %, more blocks, more rebounds (offensive and defensive) and as you pointed out, less turnovers. Less opp at the line. They win by 19
Game 2 - Once again, higher shooting %, higher freethrow %, less 3-pt %(but they only took 12 vs the 26 orlando shot), more steals, more blocks, less turnovers. About equal opp at the line.
Game 3- Gee, orlando shoots better, comitts less turnovers, has more assists....and guess what, THEY WIN!!! And oh yes, once again about the same amount of opp at the line
Now I can keep going, but you know the pattern. When orlando plays good basketball the games are decent, when they play poorly and keep turning the ball over 15+ times they lose. And THAT has nothing to do with the refs, thats just good defense and/or sloppy offense. No matter what the refs are doing you can't overcome 20+ pts off YOUR own turnovers. And oh, detroit and orlando pretty much shot the same amount at the line every game so the refs are calling it evenly on both ends. Orlando just cant shoot freethrows. Oh and about the "phantom 3" in game 4, pretty much every reputable sportscaster has said that while "ok that was shitty", the Magic could've sucked it up and played the 4th quarter hard and it wouldn't have made a difference. It was, in the end, just a technicality. The magic could've easily gone on a 12-0 run and it wouldn't have made a difference.
2) Detroit has more fans: Since when did anyone except people in the state of michigan care about the Pistons? If anything there was a big uproar a few years back when san antonio played detroit the "most boring finals ever". If anything, with stars like Dwight Howard on the magic they would have MORE fans. No one ever gave the pistons credit before, nor were big fans of, and I don't believe anything has really changed.
3) The comish has made the league more business oriented than sports oriented:
This may possibly be true, but I think you should use better examples such as whiny Kobe and his 25+ attempts at the charity stripe or the hoarding of superstars like the boston Celtics, but thats a whole another topic. And why oh why did you bring up the Rockets-Jazz series if you were making this argument about bogus calls for business purpose?? If ANYTHING, who in the world cares about Utah besides Utah??? Houston by far has the MOST fans, not to mention the 5.5 billion screaming fans over in China watching them. Talk about lost business opportunity.
Whatever the conspiracy theories floating out there, the refs call the games with integrity and we have to believe that, otherwise why watch. And we have more than seen the consequences if anyone finds out about tampering the game. Just watch the game, enjoy it, stop being a sore loser, and someone teach the magic fundamentals of passing and free throw shooting.

Orlando lives and dies by the three point shot. You will never see a predominatly jump shooting team win a championship ever. Plain and simple, Detroit plays a more balanced game. Until Orlando goes out and gets themself a point guard who can penetrate and dish, you will be nothing more than doormats in the playoffs.
PS
Its not all that bad. There are a lot of nice golf courses in Orlando. Heck maybe some of the locals (carnies) will take the time to educate themselves so that when they get a solid team they won't sound so stupid! A town full of carnival workers...... and they actually call out Detroit's population on its education!

Wow miamivice, you really think the people who work at Disney, Universal, and Seaworld are carnies? Have you ever been there? They don't have 8 teeth, they don't talk like retards, and half of them make a sh*t load of money. Carnies squeak by and look freakish. Personally the Magic don't have as many fans from around hear as you might think. As a season ticket holder for 12 years I will admit this might be the first year we had double digit sell outs. Florida is a football state and that will change every year while Howard improves.
