I disagree that "nothing new was unearthed."

Matt Walsh's information provided to Roger Goodell seems to make it clear that - during all this time - the people in the New England Patriots organization knew videotaping like this was wrong.

Bill Belichick claimed he didn't know it was wrong. That now appears to be a lie.

Does this finally put the Patriots videotape scandal to rest once and for all or have more questions been unearthed?

  1. Matt Walsh said he had to set up cabling and that the videotape evidence was in his possession till the end of the game.  what cabling do you need to make on a video tape camera?
  2. Matt Walsh said he knew what he was doing was wrong and tried to make sure he didn't get caught.  If a "lowly" video crew guy knew this was wrong why didn't the Head Coach?
  3. Matt Walsh told Rger Goodell that he was interested in rentering the NFL in some capacity as a coach of some sort.  Does that mean he may tow the company line now to help himself in the future later?
  4. Bill Belichick admitted to doing this for years and turned over 5 video tapes, Matt Walsh has been away from that organization for years and turns over 8 video tapes.
  5. Matt Walsh had tesified that he was aware of players on injured reserve practicing when they are suppose to be away from all team activities until they are healthy enough to play the next season.
  6. Matt Walsh was on the sidelines of the Rams walkthrough before the first Super Bowl victory.
  7. Scalped Super Bowl tickets for players during his employment.

Outside of these things nothing new was unearthed.

Falconfan, your nitpickin here. pipe down a bit will ya? if it weren't for the Patriots we'd still be talking about Vick....

I think you'll be happy with Ryan. Lets hope your coach is a good one and good luck. I'm hoping for you to win your division.

Falcons fan's words hold no meaning considering he's a fan of Vick.  The biggest scum bag in the NFL.  Deminish BB all you want, but he never hurt any living creature physically.  Maybe he hurt your feelings but you'll get over it one day.  Sorry to hear about Matt Ryan.  I am a huge BC fan and I've always said he is overrated.  You guys might win 18 games... in the next 5 years.

Finally this crap might be put to rest...............Also finally there are blatant video tapes that show how much the Pats actually did cheat. The dark cloud over the organization for the rest of NFL History has finally been validated and it's no longer cover up destroyed video tapes. Pats fans, you have your coach to thank for the legacy of the Patriot Organization, he threw your whole fan base under the bus.

Listen, I want this to end as much as anyone.  I for one am sick of all the threads about it.  However, Pats fans truly amaze me sometimes in how far they will go to defend their team and coach.  Like this gem for instance:

And what was on those tapes was readily accessable to SEVENTY THOUSAND PEOPLE IN THE FRIGGIN STANDS!!

There was NO STEALING OF ANY SIGNALS!!!

Is it really stealing signals if 70K fans in the stands can see them too?  Come on.  Use your heads, people.

Come on!  No stealing of signals?  That has never been in question throughout this entire thing.  The question was whether they were advantageous during the game or not.  This statement just smacks of blind homerism and ignorance.  BB admitted to stealing signals, Goodell said they did it, they have tape of signals and the plays they are for, what more do you need?  Geez!

Stange I will try my best to answer your questions.

1. My friend worked for different companies like Fox and did video work. All he did was run cable for the video cameras. You need to run any kind of cable with the cameras that are used on the sidelines, these are not your everyday hand held cameras.
2.You talk about a guy who but blades in his roommates bed and taped conversations with Pioli that is illegal in Mass, and he says he new this was wrong.Please.
3.With this guys background their is no way in hell that he will work for another team in the NFL.
4. If what you taped is no longer any use why keep the tape. The tapes were most likely taped over or destroyed.
5. I hate to inform you but this goes on on every team. Former players stated that this goes on.
6. Yes he was their during the Rams walkthrough in full Patriots gear. Is it the Pats fault that the Rams and Martz are dumb and did not have anyone removed for their walkthrough.
7. read number 5

Don't be afraid to have an idea what you're talking about BlackAndGold18. I have been one of the biggest critics of Michael Vick on the Falcons forums - and I have been glad he is gone for a long, long time.

It's a shame that trying to make a personal attack is your only option for responding on the topic.

Come on!  No stealing of signals?  That has never been in question throughout this entire thing.  The question was whether they were advantageous during the game or not.

Honestly, are you serious about that?

ALL the haters have been saying since day frickin' one is that the Patriots 'stole signals'.  And very few if any have shown any level of interest in learning how advantageous it is.   That statement only smacks of blind homerism because you want it to.

Believe it or not, you and I agree on this!  Please don't tell me you think otherwise.  Read the post again - read ALL of my posts on the subject.

Since day one NOBODY CARED about the advantages, percieved or not. All they cared to talk about was stealing signals - which is a crock. These signals were never stolen - that's my point.  Anybody can get them.  Why don't you answer my question and teach me a thing or two.

Is it really stealing if 70,000 people can do the same damn thing?  Or is it a rule violation?  Is this really some clandestine operation aimed at giving the Patriots a clear path to the championship year in and year out, or is it an arrogant prick for a head coach telling the new Commish to 'shove it'?

You'll be the first to ever call me a homer by the way.  Do a bit of research.  I'm hardly a homer.
