SEC Predictions for 2008! Opinions Wanted!!

Well after thinking about this for quite some time I tried to narrow down the 3 best teams in each division and based on how I think these teams will finish in the conference. This is what i Think...

West - 3 best teams- LSU, AU, and Bama

East - 3 best teams - TN, FL, GA

SEC record predictions....

West Predictions (3 way tie at 5-3)

I know this sucks but I really think that all 3 teams will lose 3 Sec games. I hated to do this and I would have loved to give it to Bama but our road games will determine our ranking. I think we will lose 2 of our tough road games, (including a loss to LSU),  but we beat Auburn this time around but  slip up against a weaker opponent.

I think Auburn will lose to Bama,  (it's time..) Ga, and slip up against someone else but I think they will beat LSU.

LSU, I think, will lose to AU, FL, and someone else but beat GA.

East Predictions

1. FL - (6-2) - I think FL will finish first in the east, will lose to GA but beat TN.

2. GA (5-3) - I really think that Ga has the best team in the Sec but their SEC schedule is just too tough. I think they will lose to LSU, SC,  and maybe Bama or TN or any of their other tough games.

3. TN (5-3) - I think TN has an outside chance of winning the division if they can beat either GA or FL but I don't think they can.

What do you guys think?

I predict that Auburn will claim the "People's World Series Champions."

I must invoke the "weasel disclaimer", known simply as wd in the weasel/whiner world (wait a minute...www - sound familiar?!), that it is still too early to be attempting to call the 2008 season, However I'll give it a shot.  lol!

In the east, I think UGA will take that division title this year.  They ended on such an up-note, and I think Mark Richt will keep them going strong.  UF will likely be their major competition, and I really don't think TN will do as well.  I think they pulled out some lucky major win last year that they won't this year.  UF has a solid base, and their recruiting was well done.

In the west, I think there may be much more contention for the west division title.  I think that Miss St. will continue to improve, and Ole Miss may do the same with a new coach.  I think AU will have a questionable year, with all the Tuberville nonsense going on since last season, and a decent but no better recruiting class.  So I think the division title may rest on the LSU-ALABAMA game.  I think Bama will definitely beat AU, TN, and LSU.  I also think Bama will beat Clemson.  The whole Bama picture is brighter with all the talent in returning team members and the great recruiting class, and the affirmation that substitutions will occur!  Too close for me to call the west.

ala/fla play in sec championship game...fla wins and wins nc...and that kills me to say it...but my heart says both teams stay the same 'cept bama wins both!....
