Are the Patriot's Super Bowls tainted?

Oh Okay. It is obvious no matter what Patriot fans are nothing but lemmings.

The fact of the matter is, as brilliant as Belichick is, he's still human and he's a creature of habit. That's how he had always done it, it's probably the way Parcells taught him to do it, so that's what he did.

As a creature of habit does that mean he is still cheating?

Cheating doesn't guarantee you will win, it just tilts the odds more in your favor. If a small advantage obtained illegally gives you an extra first down and a couple more minutes of clock time on offense, that can surely make a difference in a game. Doesn't guarantee a win, but it certainly can affect the outcome of the game. In the playoffs, every little advantage is magnified because it is a win-or-go-home deal.

You wouldn't want to play cards against someone who secretly knows the Ace of Spades has a small imperfection on the back of the card, right? This card may only come into play a couple times over the course of a game. It doesn't guarantee you will lose, but if your opponent has information gained illegally, it CAN change the outcome.

For those of you that believe the Pats are the only team doing this, wake up. NOBODY wins at that level in any sport playing by the rules...

So we are supposed to say it is OK to cheat? That every major sports championship is won because that team can't win unless they cheat? The Giants cheated? The Spurs cheated? The Red Sox cheated? That's so wrong. My eyes are still burning from reading that post.

Of course its tainted, You cant compare the Steelers run or the Cowboys run ,or the niners run with the pats just because they are cheaters.. The only people that disagree with this are those arogant boston fans that wont admit it...Listen they beat the Rams by only 3 points , who knows if those tapes helped them out... their head coach was a bum before he came to the pats and hes a bum now only thing is that hes a cheat also, and by the way Tom Brady , stay in boston WE dont want you in NEW YORK!!!!!

I'm am sick and tired of all the patriot fan garbage around here.  You post message after message about a dynasty, BB being one of if not the best coach in NFL history, or how the 2007 Patriots were the best team the NFL has ever seen.  You can talk all you want but it will never change these facts:

1. Dynasties don't lose Superbowls.  The Steelers of the 70's, the 49ers of the 80's, even the hated Cowboys of the 90's went undefeated in Superbowls.

2.  The "best" coach in the NFL doesn't need to break   mis-interpret the rules to be successful.  You would think that if he was such a genius he would  err on the side of caution when it came to a legal grey area to insure there would be no reson for doubt as to his sucess.

3.  The "Greatest team in the History of the NFL" doesn't loose the Superbowl.

Just keep those facts in mind while you fantasizing about the patriots dynasty being coached by the greatest coach leading to the best season ever. 

Droopdog, if your so sick and tired of it, tell the guy holding the gun to your head that you can't click on any more threads.  I mean, thats why you're in here right?  Or is it part of your job to read every Patriots thread?  Wait, whats that? Nobody is forcing you to read these threads? Oh, well then I don't get why you are complaining about other people praising their team on a message board that you are not forced to be on.

"Oh man I am so sick and tired of having sex with this fat ugly broad that I have to pick up and buy a hotel room for when I have a beautiful girlfriend at home." Same thing.

Of course the titles are tainted. The Pats cheated since 2000. Bill Belichick admitted it. That sums it up!

Wow funny how you are the only one Belichick admitted cheating to.  You would think he would have told somebody of importance.  I guess you are just the man.

Sports experts say the titles are tainted.  Message board experts say they are.  You decide on who you let sway your opinion.  My opinion has been made up.

Wow Man-ning how long did it take you to come up with those one liners.  Man you really got me there.  Yea, I'm at the library but they told me if I don't get off facebook I would have to leave.  So I guess I wont be able to prove you wrong anymore... But PLEASE show me the story where BB said "I/we cheated".  Thanks in advance.  I haven't come across it.

The answer to the question is: It depends on how much time passes before the answer is to be evaluated.  Time heals all and distorts all.  Sounds like a fortune cookie.

Did any of the teams from the 40's and 50's have controversy?  Maybe, but does it matter?  In the end, stats are stats.  The Green Bay Packers won alot of championships in the 60's, the Steelers won four in the 70's, Patriots have won three thus far in this decade and so on.  Winning is all that people remember.  The only asterik that ever existed in sports is the record set by Roger Maris and now that is gone too....

It doesn't matter whether you've loved or hated the Patriots... years down the road they'll just be known as former champions..
