I dunno about everyone else... actually i do, most fans hate it... but i like the move and its not going to hurt us and may even help us a bit.

	They are saying on chicagocubs.com that he is flying in to take a physical and sign with and I doubt they would post a rumor.

	i guess i can hate the deal. if he sucks, lou will not play him. if he doesnt suck then he will get a spot in the order. cant see how it is that bad. lord knows it would hurt my feelings to have him in center than pie.

	He signed a 1 year $284,000 deal. He will be arriving in Chicago at 6 p.m. central time to take a physical. He will be officially announced as a Cub after todays game. And will most likely be starting in tomorrows game.

	Who has going to be sent to AAA now? That 25th spot on the roster is just too valuable to have some washed-up, over-the-hill player occupy it. And I really hope they don't start him often.

	just want to remind everyone that not many of us were jumping for joy when we signed Johnson and Lieber... Cubs see a use for this guy and if it doesnt pan out, he's DFA'd or whatever in June

	just want to remind everyone that not many of us were jumping for joy when we signed Johnson and Lieber... Not jump for joy...but i was still happy...the last cub move i didn't like was Steve Trachsel...so let's hope i'm wrong finally... But until then...let me go cry myself to sleep

	There is nothing wrong with this move. We sign a veteran left handed hitter for the minimum, who has a chip on his shoulder. We send Pie down to the minors to continue to shorten his stroke by playing everyday. Its not like we signed this guy to a muti-year deal. Its a one year deal to try to win now and let pie progress so we can take care of the future as well. Edmonds bring the all important playoff experience and competitivness that can only help this team. We are built to win now! Why not take the low risk,high reward chance with Edmonds.
