Cole, Golf guy, whoever -- I think it would be a good idea to discuss "private boards/ or private threads"... I have already made a vague thread about this, so has DJTANK.
Just like how a private fantasy league works...you type in the league username and password and you're in. No trolls, all the people you want. Something like this would be great to have.
Some of the smaller logistics would have to be worked out but, I know, certainly on the NBA Board we would appreciate a feature like this.
Basing it on the private fantasy league would be good I think, anyone (lets just say superstar level poster for the sake of argument) can create private boards (private leagues) and they can invite anyone to join or giv eout the password depending how it will work and an unlimited amount of posters can go onto that private board. And a poster can be in an unlimited number of private boards.
This might kill the "public boards", I dont know. But Im throwing it out there.
The decent NBA Posters had to go off to NHL team pages and off to all sorts of areas to try and get away from the trolls and general idiots.
Another option is just have an "ignore" button where if they are on your "ignore list" their posts are minimized, like a post that had been taken off by the administrator, so you dont need to see it. But can still maximize it if you feel the need. I think that would be a great way to put an "ignore button" in.
