OK
Here's the scenario...
I'm at the Braves - Pirates game on Sunday and the game is rained out
So I schlep myself down to the ticket window
to find another game to go to during the rest of the season

Problem.
The Braves are only in Pittsburgh for one series the entire season
here are two teams that have been playing against each other for over a hundred years
yet, because of inter league play,
The Braves only come to this old steel town
just one time all season.

Solution?
OK
I'll get tickets for the Phillies - Pirates
Wrong.
The Phillies played here two weeks ago and do not play here again until 2009

Where is the justice?
Ok. I can go see the Astros. Yeah right.
How about the Diamondbacks, Giants, or Dodgers.
How about an afternoon with the Mets?
I'd rather watch paint peeling on the hallway wall..

I love baseball.
Atlanta Braves baseball.
Don't care at all about the other teams.

Now I know some of you readers have tickets for this weekend A's games.
Fine. Who's playing them? The Braves. I'd go.
Because it's the Braves.
I know some of you would love to see the Stankees or the Sox.
Fine. Go to an American League park then.Don't live near one? Move.

Point is, the National League should schedule more games within its own league
with interstate and  established rivalries.

Nothing's gonna change. The Pirates management is creaming for the sold out dates against the Stankees. (Just like any other small market city)

I'd just like to see the Braves again. Or even the hated Phillies.
For baseball's sake and  in the interest of  the true fan
give us what we want.

Go Braves 08!!!

I feel sorry for you dude. I agree that Inter League Play is a little bit overrated but so fans near Boston and Seattle don't feel left out I'd have to say that my solution would be to have all Inter League Play series only 2 games long. That way you can cram another couple of series in before the end of the season.

Don't blame interleague-- blame the genius Commisioner  Bud Selig and his unbalenced schedule.

I get so sick of seeing the Marlins and Nationals and yea.. i even get tired of seeing the philliies as well.  I dont really mind the Mets that much because I looove seeing the Braves pummel them to death.

However the 18 games vs everyone in your division is a bit much.  Sure it helps as far as getting the true champion for your division but ugh.  It gets so old seeing Braves Vs. Phillies, Braves Vs. Marlins, Braves Vs. Nationals

I'm an avid fan of interleague play and I'm soo glad that we aren't playing Boston any longer as our "old rivalries".  I hated that.  Playing them twice last year really killed us, while the Mets and others trotted off to play the feared Royals.

I'll be glad when Buddy boy retires.  The only thing he has done right is shuffling the divisions to where they're more correct.  Remember the good ole days when Atlanta was in the WEST division? lol.

I wanna see the next commisioner complete two things--  a) getting a fifth team in the AL west (My suggestion:Move the stinky marlins to Vegas and the AL west, put PITTSBURGH in the East--9 games against your braves you would get a chance to attend, Nuthinbut net )
and B) getting an MLB channel.  We have a channel commited to horse racing, tennis, football, and GOLF of all "sports".  Where is the MLB channel???

It'd be soo awesome.  During the season they could do a game a night,  on weekends have double headers with a day game and night game.  Show classic world series and awesome games like no-hitters and such.  make our draft as popular as the football draft( or at least try) by televising it.  It's the one thing that would get kids interested in baseball again and could really put baseball back on the map as the greatest sport in America.  Not to mention it would help wind away the long cold wintery days with player profiles,  an old game of the night, profiling teams for the forecoming season and breaking news on free agent signings and trades.  Having a "baseball tonight-esue" during the major winter meetings to report what is going on.  shoot they could even televise some of the arizona fall league games.  Then come spring televise a spring training game everyday.  it'd be sooo  sweet.  Baseball 24 hours a day.  I'd never change the channel. lol

I don`t like the unbalanced schedule but I enjoy interleague play. What I personally would like to see is each team play everyone 4 times with 2-game sets home/away.There are 30 teams so that would leave 46 games which would be utilized in more divisional play but at least we could play all teams 4 times and still not sacrifice our divisional play to decide playoffs while we don`t get sick of playing the whole month of April against 3 teams then have to interleague with BOs/Yankees while someone else gets Balt./KC.But this is JMO!

2-game sets would be a nightmare for travel IMO.  can you imagine LA-to-NY-to-AZ or something, with only two-game stops at each place?  and there would be many more trips overall.  i am neutral about the uneven schedule, i think it serves its purpose, though it does get a little boring.  personally, i think interleague play is starting to lose its luster too.  the REALLY uneven matchups that sometimes determine playoff births can almost cause heartburn.  interleague play was good as a novelty, but i'm starting to see the downsides more and more.

i agree about the NL central/AL west situation.  they both need 5 teams, however you have to realign a team to achieve that it should be done.

That would be soo great Bravochick if this idiot ever made a MLB channel.  Isn't baseball the world's second most played sport.  This idiot Bud Seling has done nothing since he became commisioner.

I would love to see a spring training games every night and some Arizona Fall league games as well, anything to make the winter months with no baseball more bareable.

Good thing I like football and basketball as well.

I hate interleague play...though I did see the first ever interleague game in the history of MLB (day game between Braves and Oriales Cal Ripkin Jr. Hit a HR) but I digress.  We are clearly in the minority because ticket sales are up north of 25% for interleague games so they will allways happen, the on
