Way to go Mark A. Finally, an owner in Milwaukee who knows what he wants and isn't afraid to pay the money to get it.
This is a huge step for this franchise. Not only in the caliber player they just locked up, but in proving to the fan base ownerships commitment to a winning team for years to come.
This is exactly what I was thinking when I first saw this headline... Wisconsin fans are great, they just need something to get behind. Mark Attanasio finally is putting some money into the Brewers and has locked up one of our best young players for FREAKIN EIGHT YEARS!!!
I just hope that this trend continues... Corey Hart especially is my hero. Just so all fans know, you should at least once sit in that lower Right Field box during a Brewers game... Corey Hart turns around, throws balls up all the time, and just makes it a ton of fun for fans out in right.

Seeing as I seem to be a bit spoiled sitting by home plate or first row behind either dugout, I didn't know this about Hart. I think I'll have to check out right field one of these days.
A player interacting with the crowd and contributing to their ballpark experience? This I gotta see.
haha I'm a poor college student, I had Uecker tickets and moved down to the front row in right (right by the visiting bullpen)... I was there at the Dodger game against Brad Penny. When there are two outs, everyone yells, "HEY COREY, HOW MANY OUTS ARE THERE" and he turns around puts up the two out sign and gets the crowd pumped up. We were lucky enough to have 3 instances where the last out of the inning was a fly ball to right, so he tossed that up, and when he played catch with the ballboy before the inning he would throw that ball up every time.
A great move by the team. If Braun continues to put up numbers anywhere near those of last year he is a player to build around. Now the team needs to find a way to sign Fielder.
I won't be devastated if we don't sign Fielder. With his size, he's bound for a DH spot in the AL at some point in his career. I big boy like that is bound to develop knee problems, and as he gets older, his speed will decrease even worse than it is now (and that's scary).

Heck even Prince's dad enjoyed 'short-term' success as an MLB slugger. I'd say it may be too soon to assume Prince follows in that regard, but but to think he poised to get like an 8 year $100M contract or something; that's a risk I sure wouldn't take!!!! Let the Pinstripes roll their money- wrapped dice on that one.
