I'm not the type of person to start or spread rumors never have never will be. After reading D-Mac's blog I really think that after June 1st we will go after Chad Johnson. I know alot of us are cautious about Chad after the great T.O. debacle, but having him on the team will make us into an instant Super Bowl contender. Read the blog and tell me what you think. I'll let you come to your own conclusion(s). www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/On_Tour/267132

I know we cant believe most things that come from yardbarker. But i did come from the Donovan McNabb himself.

I prefer press conferences where I see the words exiting his mouth.  I will NEVER trust anything that is on yardbarker.  We'll know how this ends in just a few short weeks.  If they don't get Chad Johnson, I won't be very upset.  He's trash.

No way.. Its another TO thing, this guy is an ass, let him go play in Dallas and Litto can shut him down.... Bengals will not trade this guy, he's one of five guys that havn't been arrested yet off that roster. Its getting to the point where the owners have to take a stand and not give into the players when they think they deserve more money....Besides do you really want a guy on the sidelines wearing a jacket saying HOF... He's a circus act thats all.....

Okay, I understand that Chad is a risk/liability when you look at his antics. You have to admit he is a "playmaker" the quintessential WR. I have lost some confidence in our offense after last season. With Chad on the team I will have something to brag about living here in Rhode Island. I think if the deal gets done we should embrace him and he wont let us down. I hate to say it but look at T.O. since he joined the Cowboys he has been a model citizen.

Ahhhh yes.  Well let me refresh your memory.  Remember the suicide attempt?  That was while he was in Dallas.  Remember the exercise bike on the sidelines with the bike helmet and racing jersey?  Those are the same antics that you just condemned Chad Johnson for.  His HOF jacket is small potatoes compared to O-D's pill experiment.  I don't want either one of them and I think people need to start taking some "Chill Pills" on our offense.  They will be fine.

I think our offense will be fine BUT. do we have a good enough offense to make it to the Super Bowl? I hope so but, i dont think we do. As for T.O. i might of used the term "model citizen" loosely. he has been a better teammate  in Dallas than he has been in San Fran and Philly.

Back to Chad. If we want to make it to the Super Bowl not just the playoffs we need him or a player like him. does anyone really think that we are fine with our offensive weapons?  we seemed to be fine with our defense but we got an upgrade at CB with Asante Samuel. I'm pretty sure that Kevin Curtis, Reggie Brown and Company will do a good/decent job but lets face it we need an upgrade.

Is Chad Johnson the answer? maybe, maybe not. I dont want the 2008 season to be a waste like the 2007 season.

Well that's a fair enough train of thought.

I just don't know if Chad Johnson being in the locker room is going to get us to the Super Bowl either.  He could be a huge distraction.  I just don't think he will make that big of a difference.  Our offense could already move the ball without him, the other players on the team just need to step up and earn their paychecks.  L.J. Smith needs to man up and get some TD's as well as Reggie Brown.  If they play better than last year, we don't need another cancer.

I agree with Krum about not wantING  OCHO,  but I will believe that Mcnabb threw it out there on YB.com. to subtly say he still wants playmakers on the offense. It s a crap site,  but Mcnabbs blogs I assume are his words.  I read the blog this morning,  and as soon as I seen June 1st my first thought was Ocho as well.   I dont think we need him,  but I  would nt crap on the FO if they did get him.    It would show that we are committed to winning now,  and realistically what are we going to get for Lito next offseason..........Im sure nothing more than OCHO.    So I would take him for a year,  and see what happens.   If he shuts up and plays he would be a huge asset,  and there a lot more leaders on this team than there is In Cinci.  Think of Moss in Oak,  vs  Moss in NE.  Totally different.........

Look you can't live in fear of another TO implosion cause anybody can be a cancer in the locker room. (we live in fear of lito now)Moss hated the Vikings then hated the Raiders then became a bargain to get and helped a team to go 18-1.  TO hated us and The Niners to help a team lead in the NFC.  We need a big time threat to let the the playmakers we have to make plays and if we got Chad along with the D upgrades we should rool through nfc. But to hear Chad is another TO is silly.  I wouldn't mind if TO came back just as long as we win.
