Not that it really matters because neither of them really have a chance, but any reason why David Ross is the Catcher listed on the All-Star Ballot for the Reds? I mean, Paul Bako has been our guy this year.

And also, is it just me, or does David Ross look like a narcoleptic in his picture on the Reds page for the All-Star Ballot?

Ha, I did it online so I didn't get to see the picture.  I wrote in Bako on the ballot but yeah, he doesn't have a shot in hell at making it, which is too bad.  I think he's played his heart out so far. I think Ross is considered our leading catcher because he's making the big bucks.

If im not mistaken the eligibility for the position is based on whos on the current roster and who started/played the majority of the games last year, and projects to start/play the majority this year.  Which is why Kepp is on there but Juan Castro was not.

yeah, the listings are for who was projected to be the starter at the beginning of the year, and who was last year if there is not a clear favorite on the team.  it's yet another problem with the all-star voting process.
