Please stop immediately with the negative outlook for our "can do nothing wrong" MB and his football team.  Isn't beating New Mexico St. enough for you?  What about La. Tech?  You forgot to mention those powerhouses that we beat on a consistent basis. 

Most of the longhorn fans that are on hornfans.com, orangebloods.com and this CBS board really don't want to hear reality.  Mack has done no wrong in their eyes and this would upset them greatly.  So in the future, please just talk about the 63, 69, 70, and 2005 seasons only.  Thank you for your help in this matter.  See you in San Diego this Dec.   Remember, "We own the Holiday bowl" and no one can take that from us.

5 or 6 loses??? are you high. Maybe 2 losses. Give me a break. Losing Sweed, Charles , and Finley will hurt. but you have to believe mack has someone in waiting to fill in. You guys need to get off Mack Brown. I love the Longhorns, but the one thing I cant stand about UT footnall is all the negative, pi$$er fans who do more griping about the team than actual cheering. I will say Holiday or cotton bowl, worse case, best case the BSC bow for the Big 12 champion. Its all about the Oklahoma game

This season 5-6 losses is about right. You have a much tougher schedule than you have had recently and the conference is much improved. I think that those close games that you guys always seem to pull out at the end will go against you this time. I'm predicting losses to OU, MIZZ, KAN, CU, TTECH and A&M. The only one that's iffy out of those is the CU game. I'm not sure that CU's quite there yet, but we shall see here in a few months.

oline78 clearly is not really a Longhorn fan, when he makes factually inacurate claims like :

Yes, I paraphrased your quote, but this is the jist of what you said, I just left out the BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, part. So many errors, where to start?

Texas has at least 10 wins in each of the last 7 years in a row, so where does all the 9-3, 8-4 nonsense come from?

Last year they beat the Pac 10 2nd place team, by a wide margin, in the bowl game. Not the 4th place Pac 10 team. In fact the team they beat was a top 10 team at the time, and the game was not really close.

Trash Mack Brown all you want, but he has gotten UT into a bowl game every single year he has been the head coach at UT, the longest current streak of bowl appearances in the nation.

Recruiting? UT is in the top 10 for recruiting classes every year. Look it up.

Do you really see them losing to TT, OU, and Missou? I don't. Probably OU, that team looks impressive on paper. OU looks good enough to play for the National Championship, and if that is the only loss UT has they will be in a BCS game, and finish in the top 10 if they win that bowl game.
