Bud Selig is a puppet of the owners, he thinks like an owner, and ruins the game like the owners.
Why Owners think people want steroid hit home runs is beyond me and until they stiffin the penalties to out for a year for the first time, its worth it for these guys to use, and try to mask what they are doing. It sickens me as a baseball fan to wonder who's usin and who isnt.
Here's my list of players I figure must be using:
Alphonzo Soriano
Chase Utley
Alex Rodrigez
David Ortiz
Eric Gagne
Ivan Rodrigez
The way I see it, if you can hit lots of home runs and you're scrawny, you must be juicing. If you are getting hurt all the time you must have been juicing. If I just dont like you, you must be juicing. If you are a spanish player (there are a ton of these guys) you must be juicing. If your last name is Bonds, Juicing.
Does anyone have any natural ability anymore? Dont know.

What are you talking about. Soriano? It is about bat speed and quick wrist. Do you think that Mr. Cub, Ernie Banks used steriods? He is a member of the 500 home run club. (All scrawny players are juiced) MLB has wanted stronger penalties and more testing for years...... The players and the union are the ones fighting it.
Talk about proving you wrong-- Ernie Banks is proof enough that your theory is wacked.
What about Willie Mays?

Huh!?!
You've got to be joking, right?
Chase Utley? I am a die hard Phillies fan. No way Chase is juicing, Chase has the best swing in the majors. If you knew anything about hitting, you would know this. Next time the Philies are on ESPN, take a gander and watch his swing. He keeps his arms/hands back, and he has great footing under him. He is very well schooled.

Totally agree that Gagne and I-Rod (blatantly obvious) used to use. I agree with jroll about Utley. He's scrawny and has an incredibly sweet swing. No roids there in my opinion.

You all see the dillema. Until they toughen the rules and how they test we are left with "opinions". Until they included HGH in their testing and Blood doping there will be cheaters. Hers how you fix it. First itme caught, 1 year suspension, second time caught 3 year suspension and contract is voided. We areliving in the "Steroid Era" and the sports leagues are filled with cheaters. Everyone is under suspician no matter how "sweet" their swing looks.
Sad but true.

You did not answer my question back to you. Do you think Ernie Banks and Willie Mays took steroids? You said in your orginal post that all scrany players that hit for power are cheaters. Both have over 500 home runs. Without any evidence it is unfair to even suggest that a player is a steroid user. Bonds, Sosa, Big Mac, Clemsons have all done these to make everyone question their numbers. You can't throw everyone into they must be cheating list. I agree with they need tougher penalties for those caught, but you can not just make a list of players with good numbers and say they must be cheating.

That is a good list of players that fit the 'juicer stereotype', all except I.,Rod. Ivan is the only one that has not hit tons of homeruns after 32 and for the most part has not faced continuous injuries throughout his career. He had the typical career of most major league catchers, tailing off after 32. His only major injury came in 2001 or 2002. Other then that he has been injury free throughout his career.
Gagne was already mentioned in te Mitchell report, no surprise there.
A.Rod has been called out by Jose Canseco AND John Rocker.
Chase Utley and Soriano, clearly juicers, both small guys drilling the ball and loaded with injuries.
Other juicers are guys like Magglio Ordonez and Carlos Guillen. Carlos Guillen is a prime example of a player going from one hitters park, to another, bulks up after meting Maggs and now becomes a power hitter in his 9th season when in hi first 8 seasons he never hit more then 9 homeruns.

Oh yeah, Willie Mays, the mentor and Godfather of Barry Bonds. And Ernie Banks, played in a time of the infamous "Greenies" and a time that pitcher Tom House says s many as 7 pitchers would be experimenting with unknown substances, because the players were doing it too. Now we're supposed to believe Ernie Banks is clean, and don't even get me started on Willie. Mays. Seeing Pete Rose Jr was jacked up on steroids you have to wonder what Pete Rose senior taught his kid and what the hell the "Big Red Machine" was on that made them so damn big.

The only thing I think you can be wrong about is giving Bud Selig credit for thinking......
