East Carolina is begging pretty much to be in the BE while Memphis has been rumored to be in talks about joining up.  Honestly I have no idea how any of this would work out save the fact that if Memphis joins one of the basketball only schools must go, same for ECU I suppose.  Anybody have any how this would all work?

Maybe we can boot Depaul , they haven't done anything for us. That would be a huge improvement for the Big East.

You gotta think money too Mikey.  Depaul brings the Chicago region, we're keepin them.  I say we boot ND, Memphis would bring overall more revenue, better teams and more fierce rivalries.

 Never again.

 say we boot ND

If their football decided to join the conference, then they wouldn't.

Depaul brings the Chicago region

That's the only plus, they don't bring football though.

Ok... ND will never join a football conference, ever.  We have seen evidence of that when the B10 was talking with them, I dont see the Depaul argument since both ND and Depaul are both basketball only schools.

The Depaul argument was that, since they don't have a football program. Playing in Chicago is useless.

That is ridiculous.  ND plays in some city in Indiana, which is much smaller than Chicago.  By the way Depaul also plays Lax in the BE, so they are not a basketball only.

We're talking about major sports here. Notre Dame makes more money in football. One piece of proof to that is their outrageous salary that they pay Charlie Weis. They seat 80,000+ for football every game.
