Just when you think the Motor City Kitties hit rock bottom.... they go out and get swept away by the Royals.  OUCH

I' m sorry... .but the Tigers are very simply not a good baseball team.  Great offense sure, but by far the worst pitching staff in baseball.

How many in Detroit think that Dombrowski is a great GM now?  Maybe he should have spent a little time in the off season building up his bullpen and starting rotation.  Because... who knew that Kenny Rogers is over the hill?  (Besides everyone outside of Detroit)

If I were Dombrowski I would start the fire sale now and try to rebuild like the Indians did in 2001-2003.

I'm still hoping for a turnaround, but it's true, I'd be a fool to suggest that the Tigers aren't one of the worst teams in baseball. When the pitching shows up, the offense doesn't. When they're hitting well, the starters go out and lay an egg. Surprisingly, the bullpen is the most consistent aspect of this team, the one worry we supposedly had.

Don't worry about Detroit my friend, Baseball is the only sport going right now where you actually have a better team than we do.

Nobody over here really gives a sh*t about bb right now, we have the Pistons in the Eastern Conference finals, and the Redwings about to enter the Stanley Cup finals.

LOL...Buckeye4ever21

Where the Tigers Missed up was going after Wilis and Cabrara I mean spending 163 Million for both of those players....Worst mistake that they made since they made it to the World Series a few years back and got swept away by the Cardinals

and only reason why the Tigers went after Willis and Cabrara was becuase the Kansas City Royals was interested in both of them...Since there are a team that is looking for pitching and batting

LOL...I dont look for a Tigers Turnaround this season...I think they are on a record pace to hit 120 loses this season

Naw Dolls, Detroit might suck, but they won't lose 120 games this year - they might lose 90, but with all that money they spent, it might as well be 120 :)

I do love the irony of it all - KC is 6-0 against the mighty Tigers - with an offense that can't punch it's way out of a paper bag.

I'm really glad we didn't sign Willis, and of course, there was no way we could afford Cabrera - I don't think we could pay the donut bill that dude must rack up!

The AL Central is getting interesting - the Indian's starting pitching right now is sick - thank god they don't have a reliable closer.  Ozzie Guillen will bitch and swear and make a fool of himself, but he will keep the Sox in it.  I haven't figured out the Twinks yet.  I think the Tigers are ready for a major collapse, and where does that leave the Royals?  80 wins and 3rd, if they learn how to hit with men in scoring position.  I love a 2-1 game with pitching and defense, but it's also nice to not have to chew yer fingernails down to the bone every stinking night.  But then I remember, at least we still have a chance in the 7th inning, unlike the last 22 years!!!

Go Blue!

Peace

I have to disagree with you JDR13

After the Tigers lost  i think it was to the Red Sox....I Beleive that is who they played

They ran from the baseball stadium all the way over the the Red Wings arena to catch the end of the Hockey game

So i dont think that they Tigers fans worry about baseball...good thing they dont because they would be lucky to get 100 fans to come to there games

The Royals game was almost sold out today

Sorry Hubie...I have to disagree with you

the Tigers are going to lose 120 games this season

and the Tigers are not Mighty...If they was Mighty...then they would have already won 30 games this year

Tigers dont have pitching or batting...They still need alot of help

As a Detroit Tigers fan, I'm very frusterated and disappointed.  They play with absolutely no heart and Jim Leyland is commending their effort.  I don't understand that.  If Detroit was playing with the heart KC is, they would be in first place.  The hitting is horrible and the pitching is even worse.  I'm going to take a few days off from watching and following them (it will be hard) but I don't think I can take it anymore.  I said in an earlier post, my blood pressure is that of a 60 year old and I'm only 22.  Go Pistons and Red Wings, teams with talent and heart!

Not only does your post not make any sense, it looks like it was typed by a 3rd grader.
