I do not see anything wrong with what Manny Ramirez did.  I mean it was funny and he did make a great play and his momentum carried him into the stands, so why not give a fan a high five!

Yes, I am a Red Sox fan, but I do not like when manny stares at the ball when he hits a homer, but I do not find anything wrong with him high-fiving a fan!

Look, I dont really like Manny. And I def. dony like the Sox. But I actually thought that the high five was pretty bad-ass. I mean seriously how could anyone consider that inappropriate behavior? Cmon! If you do, contact your local cable provider, subscribe to Espn Canada and become a Curling fanatic. Sissies.

i couldnt have said it better myself. everyone i saw and talked to about it, loved it. everyone needs to lighten up. if your favorite player had done that, you wouldnt complain as much. based on appropriateness, its really no different than an entire team jumping up and down and celebrating at home with a game winner. i like that, but its similar to this situation too. baseball is fun. and manny is a B.A.

actually, when you think of it, he does this so nonchalantly with 1 out at the time .. I mean, what player would even think of shaking hands with a fan  at this moment, lol

almost like the bank robber that is running out of the bank and decides to stop and  help the old lady cross the street , does so, then keeps on jogging away

The high five was one of those things that just kind of happened.  Manny climbed the wall saw a hand wanting a high five and impulsively gave him some skin.

The high five didn't distract Manny mentally or take more than a split second.  He was able to hit the cut-off man and complete his role in the double play.

Nice job Manny.  It's good to see you get a defensive highlight every once in a while to go with all your home runs.
