You seem more like a "brinner" guy though. Fake sleep until she leaves...
And sometimes that takes until she sweats enough to be able to bend and get out of bed. If she's a real biggun - she might not even get up until after brinner and it's "bressert" time - and then she ain't going no-place.

We used to love to go to breakfast at this truck stop called the Home Stretch - at five in the afternoon... the waitress would call me "hon" and service would be prompt - we would always be alone in the non-smoking room because the rest of the people were in the smoking area. Which was fine because the non-smoking room had windows, only slightly smelled of cigarettes and the toilet cleaner smell didn't get that far, either.
Loved the place... it was full of red-neck type truckers - very authentic... the food was great.
That was before we had kids - no more going for brinners... and no more Home Stretch - they tore it down - it is a gas station now.

We used to go to the Homestretch - - only it was 5 in the morning. "Haystacks" all the way around! If you thought the grub was good at 5 in the afternoon, it was off the charts when it's almost sun up and you're hammered. Merry Ann's is right there with the Stretch though...of course Merry Ann's wasn't attached to a motel that charged by the hour either.

Oh, that is so cool! You used to go to the Homestretch! Yeah, Merry Ann's is the alternative we take nowadays every once in a while.... that is pretty much the only diner that remained in town. The good thing is that they have a new one in downtown right under Volition - my brother-in-law works there - imagine, a game tester for a living ;)
I didn't know that motel charged by the hour - it looked very seedy for sure ;) I guess the gas station is cleaner - but I miss the authenticity.... you can still find those places in the small towns if you take the country road instead of the freeway - if you walk into the place and everyone looks at you like, 'who the hell are you?' - then you know you hit the jackpot...
