Funny cartoon diesel.....the Cowboys are heading back to their criminal ways.

I hope Antwaan Randle El is going to be ok.  Hopefully this is just a routine surgery and nothing more.  Terry Glenn sticks out in my mind from last year because unfortunately I missed my FF leagues draft and the auto picker selected him for me.  I don't think Antwaan had any type of injury they can recall it just started swelling so hopefully it is just wear and tear like they are saying so with a little scope the world is all roses again.

All I know is the Redskins need to come out of the gate on sept. 4th and blow the Giants away.  The skins come back home to put a whippin on the Saints and Cardinals which should be pretty easy although the cards may give us some trouble.  Do the redskins even need to go to the cowboys come one everyone knows we will beat them there specially since it will be the last time we play the cowboys at texas stadium.  I say this because we all know the cowboys will flop this year and miss the playoffs and they play in their new stadium the following year.  Off to the city of brotherly love where we will clip the Eagles wings. Then we get to roll back to dc for two home games against the Rams and Browns which hopefully we can take both although the brownies are looking like they may have something there.   the skins travel to rock city to face the Lions and as we all see the skins tamed them in dc last year.  However the issue here is the lions actually play the skins pretty well when they are in detroit.  We come back home to play against the Steelers where it should be the skins first real competition of the year but in the end the skins win.  Then off to the buy at 8 - 0.   Thats my dream and I'm sticking to it LOL.

It is not an easy schedule thats for sure.  The Saints did well for themselves this offseason and will be back healthy.  The Cardinals should have beaten us last year and have only improved this offseason.  I'm not worried about the Lions.  The Browns are obviously looking good and added some solid players this offseason.  The Steelers are really good and the fans travel well...ughh.  We have been splitting games with the Cowboys and expect the same this year.  The Eagles are always a toss up, but I expect nothing less than splitting with them and the Giants once again.  Not sure how the first half of the season will play out, but the Redskins do need to come out firing.  I don't care if they win by the skin of there teeth, they needed to put some "W's" on the board early so the offense has time to adjust.

I heard on the radio today an interview with Rock Cartwright and he talked about the Fred Davis issue.  Rock said that he knew coach zorn had spoken with fred about what he had done however he said I am sure when the rookie comes back he will like his hazing.  Uh oh seems the veterans on the Redskins are going to teach this rook that the letters NFL dont mean National Football League.  He said fred will understand they mean Not For Long.  The OTA's in june should be rather interesting.....Fred Davis better hope he grows a pair of eyes in the back of his head before he comes back.

I am still sticking by my earlier prediction.......that is unless we suffer some more unforeseen set backs like Jason Campbell s hammy tweak, Clinton Portis hurt his hip flexor.  Hopefully this isn't because of his race with LaRon Landry.  The redskins should beat the Giants at the meadowlands, we should also beat the Cardinals and Saints at home.  The Cowboys will be a good test but they are another year removed from bill parcels not to mention how many players and coaches bill raided the cowboys of this off season. We will beat the cowboys this year and Terrell Owens will cry in his press conference thats my QB its too early to throw him under the bus.  The Eagles haven't really done that much and they traded away their draft until next year.  Asante Samuel was a good signing but it still remains to be seen if he will be better then Lito Sheppard.  The redskins will beat the eagles without any trouble. The Rams could return to their old form and gives us some trouble specially if their o-line is healthy and Steven Jackson is running on all cylinders.  I am also a little concerned how we will handle Chris Long because he is a beast.  Hopefully our starters like Jon Jansen will keep him under control with their veteran experiance. The Browns are the first team we will face that are more then likely a sure bet playoff team although we will beat them since they are coming to our house.  The Steelers have some really good players but they run hot and cold so hopefully we get them on a cold week.

Here is an article from NFL.COM that talks about Antwaan Randle El and his surgery to remove the loose cartilage.  They think the injury came from some collisions in games last year.  Coach Zorn also commented that he still thinks Rocky McIntosh is on schedule to come back for the july 19th training camp.  Jason Campbell tweak the hamstring which if you have played sports it is not nearly the same as actually pulling the hammy.  A tweak can just be feeling stiff or require a week or two and things are fine.  A pull is something that isn't right for atleast 4 weeks and then has the tendency to come back if you dont properly stretch before every workout.  I am not a doctor but this is my personal experience with the hammy pulls.    We may never see LaRon Landry and Clinton Portis do another 40 yard dash now that Clinton has a minor hip flexor strain.  I have never had one of those myself but my understanding is they are pretty painful.  Did anyone hear anymore news on how Carlos Rogers is doing?  I haven't heard anything in a couple of weeks now, the last thing I heard was vinny saying he expected carlos to be ready by the dallas game and perhaps earlier.

Sorry forgto to actually post the link the first time......By the way you can also watch the little video that shows clinton catching balls, Jason Campbell throwing and some commentary from Mike Sellers the caveman.

Wow, I am looking forward to watching the video of the Cross Dresser,  Numbnuts and the Caveman.........as much as you would enjoy changing "Uncle Joe's" depends.  Especially, after he has been wearing the same one for a week.  Good luck.

Hey, maybe Zdork will take after "Uncle Joe" and starting wearing a depends as well. Wonder if the Dork will remember the rule about timeouts.  Very questionable.

here is an interesting article that I dug up on Andrew Crummey that the Redskins signed on thursday.

Redskins take the NFC East, Cowboys follow in a distant second, Eagles take third and the Giants sweep up the basement.

Nice posts guys. Some good info for us who are further away from the action. I like how you guys are keen on the upcoming season, I know I am. However, I am hesitant on pinning those W's yet. I know Gibbs conservatism and saunders 700 page playbook were some of the reasons why we struggled offensively last year plus the long list of injuries but I think we might struggle to fully exploit the WCO early on. I hope I am wrong and we nail our first 5 opponents. Nevertheless facing our East rivals consecutively on the road will be hard and hopefully we can come away with some W's.

The Eagles are tough with both Westbrook and McNabb playing. The Giants game depends on Manning's form and how well he can feed Burress. Cowboys, their defense has improved with Zach as MLB and we should focus Romo & TO. The Cardinals had a good draft and is likely to be a close one and also the Saints have added Dan Morgan (or is it Peterson?), Jonathan Vilma and Bobby McCray not including some good rookies from the draft. All in all, its a tough ask but I know Zorn and JC will step up to the task and use every weapon we have on offense to ensure we outscore teams and allow our defense to rest.

Cheers

I just listened to the audio archive from the larry michael show.  Larry Michael had vinny on and they talked about the new receiver Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly.  They also talked about the Fred Davis issue.  Vinny also discussed the signing of Andrew Crummey and why the Chargers released him after signing crummey.  According to vinny the chargers released crummey before their mini camp because crummey wasn't going to be able to participate.  Stephon Heyer had some insight to having him signed along with the Redskins feel crummey has alot of potential and they dont have to have a starter on the line yet like the chargers are searching for.  Anyway here is the link make sure to listen to the 5/9/08 archive for this discussion.

Ok seems I am the only one here keeping this thread alive.  Where are my fellow posters?

Did anyone see another Cowboys players was arrested for selling the powder rocks.  Troy Hambrick gets 5 years ouch that hurts.  The cowboys adding Adam Pacman Jones and Tank Williams should help to get them back to the days of a cowboy a week goes to jail.  Old jerry is going to have to teach all his rookies the terms Yes your honor and No your Honor.

Go Redskins
