I have officially had it with the San Antonio Spurs and especially with Robert Horry and all his fouling garbage which happens to injure players such as David West and last year with Steve Nash. Tonight, in the 4th quarter, David West was on the court trying to get a rebound when Robert Horry bumped into him from behind and West was seriously injured on the floor with a nagging back spasms injury. As he is on the floor, the horrible no pity Spurs fans chant HORRY HORRY HORRY !!! Unbelievable ! I hope Horry gets a taste of his medicine in Game 7, which we unfortunately have to wait a full 4 days for and why that is, I do not kno. Maybe, Stern wants to give the Spurs rest, so they can win, I don't know. The NBA needs a Chris Paul-Kobe Bryant Western Conference final because even when the Hornets get blown out, Paul still makes the greatest plays with the basketball and he will be the leader for this team in Game 7 and feed off the New Orleans crowd. The Spurs are so boring to watch, while the Hornets are exciting and make the NBA enjoyable. It is time for the Spurs and their flopping antics to just go away so we can see who the real MVP is (Paul or Kobe). I agree with David West, that some of the fouls on New Orleans were BS !!! The two push offs by Paul were bologna and the first one should not have been called. As for West, the first foul that started the chain of reaction that pissed him off was not his fault. I saw more pushing from Manu Ginobili than him. But, West, there is nothing you can do because you are in San Antonio. Someone on the road needs to step up for the Hornets other than Paul on the road, so they can stay in games if they go up to Los Angles against Kobe, Gasol, and Lamar Odom. So, its time for the Spurs to end !!!!

I am not trying to make excuses, all I am saying is that when someone is hurt, the other team should not chant the name of the guy that hurt him.

Hurricane, I didn't think the foul was intended to injure, but I a;sp thought it pretty classless for the fans to chant the way they did. I guarantee you, they would not have started that chant if David West had been able to just get up and move on, so yes, it was classless.
Sort of like what the Jazz fans did to Derek Fisher the first time he went back to Utah.

The guy knew he had back issues, so he shoved his forearm into his lower back. IMO, clear attempt to injure.
However, Byron Scott should face some sort of blame. Why the hell is an INJURED David West in the game, when you're down 21 points in the 4th quarter? Save him for game 7.

Horry performed the correct basketball play of screening him so that his teammate had an easier path to the basket.
Are you saying that Horry should have not touched West because his back was hurt? Its part of the game, injuries happen, and when players play with them they get injured worse occassionally. It was a bad move by Spurs fans to chant Horry's name afterwords, but you know what, very few fans in any sport are classy to the other team during the game.

I think this was blown out of proportion by someone who either already hates the Spurs, hates Robert Horry, or loves the Hornets. And yes David West has made himself look like a giant douche during the entire 2008 playoffs. He gets into opponents faces, claps his hands at the defending champs, puts his hands on the last years MVP. He is disrespectful. Yes he has talent but I'm not feeling bad for the guy right now at all and I have serious back problems.
