I like any music that is good from any genre.... anything well done. I like music that has passion and soul - it can even be theatrical - Queen is one of my faves. Anything that sounds fake I can't stand, which includes large portions of country music, much of pop, hip-hop and rap (wanna-be-ghetto is the worst), 80ies hair bands, cheesy love songs. Fakest singers on earth are Celine Dion, Michael Bolton and Bryan Adams..... Favorite genres are well-done pop, blues, some jazz and classical, and alt rock from the nineties and later. My all time favorites include the Queen, Janis Joplin, Madonna, The Police, The Doors, Nine Inch Nails, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Soundgarden, Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush, my favorite classical is Orff: Carmina Burana. I also like techno in a dance club, but wouldn't listen to it otherwise.

Everything new pretty much sucks in my opinionmine too. *uck radio. thank goodness for XM. i load my itunes to the point my comp almost vomits. i'm thinking of getting a comp and just loading it with music much like a jukebox

Fakest singers on earth are Celine Dion, Michael Bolton and Bryan Adams..... well put. michael bolton was one of those wanna be rockers that 'came out' and started trying to be a self-touted crooner. same for the other two. bryan adams sucks and i would stab my eardrums if i ever heard celine again.

i love the heavy stuff and i guess mainly old. judas priest, ac/dc, ozzy osbourne, pantera, old metallica. the crap pumped out nowadays flat out sucks, so the most mainstream stuff i like is from the 90's like NIN, alice in chains, STP, RATM. i effing hate system of a down. i like other genres as well. beasty boys is one of my all time faves, but i gotta admit i didn't like them when they first appeared. i hate bandwagon BS, and i thought that's what they were. turns out, it was their fans that were BS cuz all the fans i knew that loved them don't even pay attention to them anymore
