Yes, that's what I would say if my team got manhandled by a "weak" 4th place (atlantic 4th that is) FSU team, who we seem to beat every year now.You weren't ready to play him, and You weren't ready for LMU either, i guess.

The subject got changed by your post,NG. You started all the junk by saying he has done less with more than anybody in coaching. An opinion that i rebuffed. We have recruited as well as we have ever recruited since Tommy got here. Yes we lose games to teams that are supposedly not as good as us, but in todays college football landscape the difference between good and great is a dropped pass here a missed field goal there, wouldn't you agree?

Look, Saban will get the Tide back into the national title hunt, and despite the conspiracy, the SEC is not that tough a conference to win in , and he knows what it takes to win championships no doubt, but these things take time. First you gotta beat teams like LMU( we beat them 49-26 last year ) and then you gotta beat your rival ( we beat ours like an old rug ) and then start worrying about Titles. I mean Spurrier was hollerin' SEC East champs before last season started and look what happened there.

Anyway, as the saying goes, That is why they play the game. I don't know about you, but August 30th can't come soon enough for me. Peace.

No, ULM was a lack of execution.  That whole was just misque after misque when they would hurt the most.  ULM could have and should have been put away early, but Bama couldnt make it work.

despite the conspiracy, the SEC is not that tough a conference to win in

Conspiracy?  Ok, if you think so, but its absurdly difficulty to win on the road in the SEC for sure and every week is a tough game no matter who you are playing.  And it takes a bit more than a dropped pass here or there to be great.

Smartest recruiter...No. Shadiest...Abso-freakin-lutely. Look man, don't take this personally, but the dude is a scumbag. I'm a military guy, and after what he said last year during the press conference after the ULM game about 9/11and Pearl, I wanted to choke him out, MMA style. All the other stuff, moving around, can't keep his word, dodging (finding loopholes) in NCAA recruiting rules, I can over-look. But, let's keep things in context. It's football. I've got a lot of respect for Alabama football, I just think your new coach $uck$. My 2 cents.

Just have one question about it, and no disrespect here, but did you read all the articles on it or did you watch the actual press conference and hear it in context and in the flow of the presser?  There was a difference in the meaning based on where you got the info from.

LOL, BullDawgZED.

I didn't wanna say so because I was involved in a different argument altogether, but Saban does give you that "Greezy Wormbelly " feeling now doesn't he? He has scam artist written all over him.

That being said, he can recruit and he can coach. Those 2 things are not debatable.

Oh, no doubt he can coach, no doubt he can recruit. All I need is one example of his recruiting prowess, and that was to keep Julio Jones in state. Does he do it honestly, well... let's just say he's got a rule named after him, I'll leave it at that. That segways into your post tigerdug, I don't think the man can be passionate about his current job, he's definitely passionate about his next job. So yeah, if I were an Alabama fan, I'd be waiting for that second shoe to drop.

Ng, You are correct in saying that it is very diffucult to win week to week in the SEC.  Teams in the SEC have the talent and ability to beat any other team on any given day.  Your point on the lack of execution against ULM is funny though.  I would say the ints hurt toward the end of the game.  Alabama just couldn't keep from stepping on their wang in that game.  It's also funny how Nick no backbone Saban lifted D.J. Hall's suspension at halftime to try and spark his offense.  He had suspended Hall for that game because he thought it was going to be a cake walk.  When you are suspended for a game at Georgia, you are gone for that game.  Mark Richt will not sneak you in at halftime no matter what the score is.  Saban didn't want the backlash from losing to ULM.  By the way check this photo out http://thewareaglereader.wordpress.com/2007/12/22/fa-la-la-la-la-la-la
