The Packers have released Koren Robinson.  Anyone have any feelings on brining him into camp to compete for the kick returner/punter returner spot?  He would also add some depth the receiving corps.  I know he has had his troubles in the past but I think he would be a good addition.

This could be a good idea but I don't think the Steelers will look his way based on his past. He was a real good kick returner but it had to be something for the Packers to release him. He wasn't really involved in games last year and it wasn't too well for him this year.

I think that is why we got Moore.

I am a little worried about Mewelde Moore.  If my memory serves me right, didn't he get suspended for a banned substance a couple of years ago.  I really wish the Steelers would have kept Allen Rossum but I think we are going to give Willie Reid another crack at the returner job.

The Seattle Seahawks gave Koren Robinson every opportunity to star as a WR and kick returner but alcoholism really hurt his performance on the field. Eventually, even player's coach Mike Holmgren had to cut ties with him. Minnesota and then Green Bay took a shot at a reclamation project and got a little production but not the level of a first round pick. At this point, I don't think the potential negatives outweigh the potential gains considering the players already on the roster for kick returns because Koren would not crack the lineup at WR.

NO! NO! NO to Koren Robinson! Given his past, and the recent off the field issues with other Steeler's players, this would be a bad idea. Our special teams play was horrible last year and we definitley need to improve, but Koren is not the answer. Good riddance to Rossum, I can only take getting to the 20 yard line so much. When Najeh Davenport is returning kicks for you on a pivotal drive late in the fourth quarter in the playoffs, you have serious issues. I think Mewelde will be OK, but we won't know until the season starts.

Micheal Vick will be released from prison in 2 years, maybe we should sign him to return kicks! (tongue in cheek)

I don't see any problem bringing him into camp, but there won't be enough space for him on the roster.....with Ward, Holmes, Sweed, Washington all locks at WR, there are only one or two spots available....which could be Willie Reid and Dallas Baker....If the Steelers could get him for little money then it would be fine to let him tryout in camp, but it won't be happening
