If there's one thing I'm not, it's an over-confident Pens fan. Just like I said in my thread after the last game, I knew the Flyers would be ready to come out and punch the Pens in the mouth. They are a proud team and wouldn't go out without a fight. True to form in ANY team from Pennsylvania.
That being said, time to get down to business. The Flyers had their say, now it's time for the Pens to go home and wrap this thing up. Should be a different story on home ice!
Go Pens!

Would you say that if the Flyers win on Sunday in Pittsburgh it is a rational thought that this series is going 7 games? If the Flyers make it back to Philly with the series at 3-2, it is going to be electric!

I'd say if the Flyers win on Sunday, this could very well turn into a knock down drag out fight. If the Pens do lose on Sunday, their confidence could be shaken. It would be very interesting to see how they react. Being a Pens fan, I'm obviously hoping that won't happen, but given the nature of these two teams when they play each other, absolutely nothing would surprise me. There aren't too many teams in Pennsylvania that don't fight like Wild animals when they get cornered, the Flyers are no different. I have a great deal of respect for them.

Yeah good points. None of this will matter if the Penguins win on Sunday, but if they don't win, I really think this is going 7 games. I think both teams and their fans should be worried. Not so much because the Penguins couldn't put the Flyers away in game 4, but more because if they can't do it in game 5, they may not be able to do it in game 6 either given the shift in momentum or the fact that the Flyers should be getting their top defensive line back.

Hey Whiz, I didnt like some of your comments in some other threads. But you have grown on me.LOL . Your absolelutely right. Im just glad we didnt get sweep cause some of your fans are pretty ruthless (not to say our fans arent either) Im just glad they bought brooms for nothing. I guess there is some Pitt fans that know some hockey.LOL Timmonen is skating today and he might be back on Sunday along with Colburn,That in itself will be a huge lift .So hopefully we will win Game 5 and bring it back to Philly on Tuesday. Good luck on Sunday. See ya Sunday 3:00 pm SHARP.......GO Flyers

I agree with you. I knew the Flyers would not get swept, but the Pens will win game 5 and end the series. I am not sure the Pens can beat the Red Wings for the Cup, but I will be cheering the whole time for that to happen.
Go Pens!!

Who cares that Philly won? Yea they showed "pride" (if you call Richards antics pride why laraque wasnt taking the draw after Hartnell's cheap hit on Staal and see how tough the Cryers are is beyond me). Pens have two of 3 games left in Pitt and there is no way the Pens lose 2 of those also after the 3rd period the Pens had it bodes well for sunday Timmonen or no Timmonen.

You aren't sure your team will win, and you'll cheer for them anyway. That's a real fan.
But why is it that when we Flyer Fans are doing that Very Same Thing (Cheering our boys on against the Favored Team), we get ripped on that we are being somehow "Unrealistic", or that we are "insulting" your team for it?
Not sayin YOU are doing this - but I see many people with that very same attitude.
When (If?) the Peguins finish off the Flyers, more power to them, and I'll be right there on your Penguins forums congratulating them and their fans and wishing you well. But - until the Flyers lose that final game, We are going to be cheering for them, and hoping against Hope for that "Cinderella Story".
