I was so glad that the Flyers brought their A game to wake the Pens up.  They were cruising and seemed to feel that they could win at will.  This game may be the one that brings them down to earth and take every game, period and penalty seriously, thus leading into the Detroit Series (Assuming that both of these teams win one more) with deperation.

The way these series go, you have to be ready for the on-slaught and the mo changes and cannot assume control/dominace at any time.

It looked like Staal woke up in the third and was darn close to a hat trick in that period alone.  Cudos to the Flyers and thanks for the superior effort in game 4. These kind of games can only help each other to get better.

If you remember, this is what I was hoping for and I believe it will be evident on how important this loss is if and when the Red Wings host the next series.  Now I am routing for the Penguins to Bounce Back and good luck to your Flyers!!!!

Lets go Pens!!!

Kudos to the Flyers in game 4. They jumped out to a huge lead, and were able to hang on. You could see the despair on some of the Philly's faithful faces when the Pens came within a goal. Bottom line, the Pens have to play better. They made their surge a little too late. It was a good game though. My only one question is, could the Briere goal have been considered goal tender interference?

LET'S GO PENS! Get the job done Sunday!

For those Flyers fans, there is a good article on Umberger in this week's Sporting News, which has Kobe Bryant on the cover.

Two hours (or so) until the opening face-off.  I expect the Pens to come out with more jump today and hopefully get the lead early.  The Flyers are sure to get at least an emotional lift from Kimo and (maybe) Coburn back.  The should be another good one.

2008 Eastern Conference Champions! Man does it feel good, and it is well deserved. The Pens played lights out in game 5. Hats off to Philadelphia for a great series and for a fantastic one year turn around. The Flyers will be a force to be reckoned with for the next few years. I think the Pens played one bad period of hockey in the whole series(1st period, game 4). They pretty much dominated otherwise. Fleury is the best goat tender in the post season, hands down. The Hossa, Crosby, Dupuis line is gelling at the right time. The best part about the whole win, was the Pens were all business after the win. Winning the Eastern Conference is nice, but they are so focused on bringing home that Stanley Cup. Whether it is Detroit or Dallas, I believe the Western Conference is in trouble. The Pens are on a mission and they only need 4 more wins to get what they desire. To all the Philly folk on this thread, you guys are all knowledgeable class acts in my book. Special thanks to Tarkus for leading me here.

LET'S GO PENS! LORD STANLEY IS WITHIN OUR GRASP!!!
