Tigers SUCK out loud

It is embarassing.  Half of the time they look like they are just going through the motions.  I have been venting for the past six weeks about their pathetic play.  Zach Miner blows a decent outing by Jeremy Bondrman tonight.  They put themselves up early against Dan Haren but the Diamondbacks come back against the Tigers awful middle relief.  I really don't see this team turning it around.  It sucks to have high expectations for a team and have them play like crap all the way into May.  4-15 against their own division.  Absolutely unacceptable.

But as you said, we do have the Pistons and the Red Wings who are in the hunt for championships.

Wasn't  Miner's fault Renterria and Guillen couldn't catch an easy popup or Guillen couldn't make a routine throw to first. You can't give a team 5 outs in an inning and hope to have a chance. The pitching is actually coming around a little but there is no way the defense gets any better. Guillen sucks and Renterilla isn't much better. All the contending teams play good D. If Leyland doesn't get rid of the excess garbage, then Illitch should get rid of him. They are starting to remind me of that pathetic football team called the Lions. Lots of promise and nothing else.

Teams built around offense usually get the most attention but it always comes back to the pitching and defense.

Even though I think the Tigers will rebound and have a strong year, the old saying is true:

Great Pitching > Great hitting

but unless something changes real fast they will end up dead last in the majors

In pitching? They already are...5.02 E.R.A.

Hitting not so bad...they avg. around the top 5 in most hitting categories in the A.L., but when you have the worst E.R.A. in all of baseball your not going to go very far.

I am not sure what it is with the Tigers this year.
